The classic style of the kitchen involves bar stools made of wood, as well as upholstered in leather or other fabric.
For a country or rustic kitchen, wooden chairs, wicker chairs or wrought iron chairs work well.
Dimensions
The height of the bar counter is 1100mm. It can vary between 900-1300mm according to individual client requests.
A standard bar stool with a seat height of 70-85 cm from the floor is designed for a table top of 1100 mm. The choice of size depends on the person's height. The distance from the tabletop to the seated knee should be 25-35 cm.
Each seated person requires about 60 cm of tabletop length. Before purchasing furniture, carefully calculate the number of chairs that will fit under the counter.
Chairs with a height of 60-70 cm are sometimes called half-bar chairs. They are needed for bar counters below 1100mm. Often, half-bar stools are placed next to an island element in the kitchen. The height of the island usually corresponds to the height of the kitchen furniture and is 860-910 mm.
For non-standard high bar counters, you can choose chairs with a seat height of 85 cm. Often such high counters are located in bars and cafes.
Chair material
The materials from which bar stools are made are very diverse. Let's look at them.
Steel.
Steel for chairs can be chrome-plated or matte. Chairs made from this material will last you a long time.

Plastic
Plastic is easy to care for and lightweight. Its disadvantages include the fact that the plastic is easily damaged, and is also not designed for people with large weights.
Wooden chairs
Wood is pleasant to the touch and fits organically into any interior.
Wooden chairs do not have swivel or lifting mechanisms, so the height should be selected carefully.
Rattan
Chairs woven from wicker will lighten the interior of your kitchen, making it light and relaxing.
Leather chairs
These chairs contain gel filler inside. It is comfortable to sit on them, like in a chair, because it takes the shape of the body.
Some chairs use polyurethane as a filler.
