Then putty is applied to the door leaf. It should lie in a thin layer so as to become one with the door. After the first layer has dried and sanded, a second one is applied, which is also rubbed down after drying.
Next, the surface should be cleaned of dust and polished with fine sandpaper. This must be done in such a way that the canvas becomes matte and rough, for better adhesion to the paint.

How to paint laminate flooring at home - sequence of work
An important point before painting is preparing the base. It won't take much time and will improve the final result. Painting compounds can be applied to laminate flooring with a roller. For hard-to-reach places you will need a brush. It is advisable to remove the baseboard in advance, or cover it with masking tape. I hope you have already chosen what to paint your laminate flooring with. You need to look not only at the composition, varnishes and paints come in matte and glossy (for shine).
And remember, sanding the floor with sandpaper is not necessary. This will damage the top layer even more. And modern alkyd paints will adhere perfectly to a smooth surface.
Work technology:
- We remove all contaminants from the surface. In the kitchen these are greasy stains and debris. There is sand and dirt from shoes in the hallway. There is definitely a lot of dust behind the old sofa in the living room; everything needs to be wiped thoroughly. Wet cleaning is carried out, after which the laminate must dry completely;
- Repair deep scratches on the laminate and minor defects. For this, there are special putties (hard wax, putty) or furniture markers. As a last resort, it is better to replace a separate board;
- Applying varnish or paint to a laminated floor surface. We start painting from the far corner and move towards the exit. If you are painting laminate flooring that has not yet been laid, for example, each plank separately, do not lean them against the wall (just lay them on the floor). Since the board will bend slightly and it will be more difficult to lay such a laminate.
- The laminate is usually varnished in 2-3 layers. In this case, the second layer is applied only after the previous one has dried. If you are painting the floor a different color, 2 coats of paint will be enough. Can laminate flooring be repainted? As practice shows, laminate floors are painted once every 3-4 years.
Wait until paints and varnishes are completely dry before walking on laminate flooring. Usually this time is indicated on the paint can. It is better to bring in furniture after 1-2 days to avoid scratches. During this time, the painted surface will gain the required strength.
Some housewives say that after varnishing, laminate flooring is easier to clean (especially with a textured surface). Now they are not afraid to spill water again. So to speak, additional protection from moisture.
