Wardrobe with mirror in the bedroom: review of modern models and new designs (200 photos)

The usual and bulky wardrobes or cabinet furniture have been replaced by roomy and comfortable furniture designs that fit perfectly into the interior of any room and complement various design styles. Sliding wardrobes, due to the rich variety of design solutions and the possibility of decorating with mirrors, help to effectively use every centimeter of the room and bring a special charm and stylish zest to it.

Having studied in detail and examined the proposed photos of a wardrobe with a mirror, you can choose the ideal option for furnishing a living room, bedroom or children's room and choose the best furniture model equipped with an effective storage system.

A harmonious combination of furniture and the possibility of its combinatorics will allow you to harmoniously organize the living space and maximize the stylistic composition underlying the concept of the interior solution.

Main advantages of a mirror cabinet

The main advantages of structures with mirror facades include:

  • Visual enlargement of the bedroom. Even the smallest room will seem much larger, since mirrors tend to expand the space, creating the illusion of a continuation of the room “behind the mirror.” Designers like to choose such designs if there is a lot of massive furniture in the bedroom.
  • Improved room lighting. Mirrors perfectly reflect sunlight and electric lighting. Properly placed light sources can make a room appear brighter. If desired, you can achieve more subdued lighting using mirrors and night light lamps.
  • Excellent design appearance. There are many different options for mirrored cabinets on the market. You can choose the desired option simply by looking at a photo of a wardrobe with a mirror in the bedroom. This way you can choose the color, size, placement of mirrors and decorative elements.
  • Many possible solutions. The appearance of the cabinet can be absolutely anything, it all depends on the client’s imagination. If the desired design is not found among the options available from the manufacturer, it can be made to order.
  • Acceptable price. These designs are produced by many domestic and foreign manufacturers. Due to competition, many of them are forced to reduce prices and offer the client many additional benefits.
  • Functionality and saving of living space. Such designs are quite spacious. There is no need to separately buy a chest of drawers, a mirror and hanging shelves for small items - all the things you need for life will fit in one closet.

Mystical properties and beliefs about mirrors

The rich history of this element has aroused mystical superstitions in people for centuries. Many are sure that a mirror can protect against the evil eye and envy. If you believe this, then always carry a small pocket version with you. It is not customary to give such an item as a gift. It is also associated with the belief in energetic vampirism and the ability of some to drain the life force from other people. Such properties are often attributed to gifted items with the ability to cause reflection.

It is believed that this type of glass can accumulate psycho-emotional energies that prevail in the home environment, returning them later to the owners. Think very carefully about whether it is worth making a scandal in front of the mirror. Also, you shouldn't cry near him.

Disadvantages of sliding wardrobes

In addition to positive aspects, such designs also have a number of disadvantages:

  • The sliding system often fails.
  • The aluminum profile from which the cabinet frame is made is subject to deformation.
  • Cabinet track systems require proper care and regular maintenance.
  • Insufficient lighting. Little light penetrates into a large closet, which makes it difficult to find the things you need.

Mirrors

Since we are interested in the mirror version of the wardrobe design, we need to focus on the mirror. Choosing purely based on the photo is not the best option. It is recommended to visit stores, look at visual samples, and touch the materials.

It is important to consider that mirrors will need maintenance. Therefore, choose the option that will be the most practical and at the same time satisfy your design needs.

In terms of mirrors, there are several options and characteristics.

Color

The color of mirrors can be regular, matte, or tinted.

In the first case, this is a classic. The second option makes the mirror less easily soiled and creates the effect of a chrome-plated surface. Such mirrors are more practical and require less maintenance.

Tinted ones imitate bronze, graphite, gold, etc. A good option for bedrooms in art deco or ethno style.

Sandblasting

One of the most popular and affordable ways to decorate mirrors. This is the application of a sandblasting pattern by chemical or mechanical etching.

There are a huge number of sandblasting options in terms of designs. Usually stores offer entire catalogs, and you already decide what the image will be and on what mirror.

Imitation of stained glass

The price of real stained glass will be prohibitively high. It is collected from pieces of glass. But when designing wardrobes, such methods are almost never used.

Basically, the imitation of real stained glass is used. And it looks no worse than the original.

This is a special film that is applied to the surface in accordance with the selected pattern.

Embossed mirrors

Due to the reliefs, a very unusual and interesting visual effect is created.

Basically, the bevel edge technique is used for such mirrors. That is, the elements of a mirror whose edges are beveled are assembled into a single pattern or ornament on the door leaf.

There is an alternative option for adding relief. This is laser engraving. Including with a 3D effect.

Photo printing and drawing

An equally popular technology for decorating mirrors, which is actively used in the production of sliding wardrobes. Photo printing can also have a 3D effect.

If photo printing is applied to a surface, the design is made by removing a layer of amalgam from the back of the mirror. This method is often used in the restoration of mirrors. As a result, the removed layer is painted, and the finished decor is obtained, which is better protected from external influences, since it is located on the inside of the canvas.

Features of placing a mirrored wardrobe in the bedroom

To create coziness and comfort in the bedroom, not only the appearance of the closet is important, but also its placement. It is advisable to adhere to the following rules for the location of this structure:

  • You should not place a mirror cabinet opposite a light source. Sunlight or a lamp, reflected from the mirror, will dazzle your eyes. It is desirable that the light falls on the light from the side.
  • The wardrobe must be well secured. It is important to place such a structure near the strongest (load-bearing) wall.
  • You should not purchase cabinet options that are too bulky. The capacity of such a cabinet will be large, but the living space in the room will be reduced to a minimum. An excellent option is a corner wardrobe with a mirror for the bedroom, a photo of which can be viewed on the Internet before purchasing.
  • The placement of a closet in the bedroom should be as thoughtful as possible. It is better to place such a design so that there is free access to all shelves and drawers. The closet should not be blocked by other pieces of furniture, and there should also be free access to the mirror. For a small room, it is better to choose a small closet.
  • Particularly impressionable people should not place a mirrored wardrobe opposite the bed. In darkness and twilight, reflections in the mirror can seem quite strange and even ominous. This definitely won’t add coziness to the room.

Designers recommend choosing wardrobes in warm colors with large mirrors for the bedroom. Frosted glass and photo printing will help make the room more original and cozy.

How to choose material

Undoubtedly, in any apartment there is a place for a wardrobe. Even if its area is very small. The main thing is to choose the right sizes. But do not forget about the material from which this piece of furniture will be made. Cabinets are made from MDF, chipboard, plastic, wood.

If we talk about a comfortable and functional piece of furniture for the bedroom, first of all you should understand the materials used to make sliding wardrobes. And choose it correctly according to your preferences and financial capabilities.

Chipboard

Cabinets made from this material are constructed from chipboard made from natural raw materials.

The slabs differ from each other in composition, size, quality, thickness and safety class. This variety allows you to choose the right option for any wardrobe. That is why furniture is most often made from it.

Moreover, the lightweight but durable material lends itself well to processing and copes well with loads, installation of fittings and fasteners. This is a high-quality and safe raw material for furniture in any style.

MDF

Compared to chipboard, such material is much more expensive. It is practical, safe, high quality, pleasant in appearance, and moisture resistant.

Particle board lends itself well to painting; for this reason, the color range of the material is quite wide.

MDF is one of the favorite materials of designers, as it allows you to use straight, broken, curved, rounded and smooth lines in the interior.

laminated chipboard

Compared to chipboard, this material is much more diverse in terms of external design. Laminated or laminated surfaces made of paper-resin film also differ in quality.

Laminating involves gluing a film to the surface of a chipboard. This processing method is unreliable; after some time, the film may peel off, wear off or peel off.

Lamination is much stronger and more durable when the coated board is soldered at high temperature. Then the laminated chipboard becomes durable and strong, protected from external damage, moisture-resistant and protected from overheating.

With the help of laminate you can turn almost any fantasy and idea into reality. Also design a wardrobe for the bedroom according to an individual design project.

Types of cabinet fronts

When choosing a mirror cabinet, it is important to pay attention to the appearance of the structure; not only the beauty of the interior, but also its functionality depends on this.

What can be applied

Each buyer can decorate the mirror canvas at his own discretion. Given the range of options and services offered, now there is a real opportunity to get exactly what you want. But for your money.

Some people are interested in decorating a mirror surface with simple rhombuses, while others want to decorate it with an image of an entire city at night.

These can be abstractions, geometric shapes, various kinds of patterns. If we talk about photo printing, then you can even put a photo of your family, pet, a self-selected image and much more.

That is, there is complete freedom of choice, without any strict restrictions. Therefore, be sure to think and decide what exactly you want to see on the mirror of your wardrobe.

But in pursuit of appearance, never forget about the issue of practicality, ease of care, and safety. For example, many people rush to make a choice, buying a wardrobe that ultimately does not match the interior design, or, as a result of a quick renovation, ceases to harmonize with the bedroom.

By type of door opening

Before purchasing a wardrobe for your bedroom, you should decide exactly how the doors of the structure should open. There are several options:

  • Swinging doors. The classic version of the cabinet, when the doors are attached to hinges. This is a cheap and reliable option, but for a small bedroom you need to take into account that there should be additional space around the structure for convenient opening of the doors.
  • Sliding doors. One of the most popular options. The doors move along special guides. This is an excellent option for a small bedroom, since the doors of the structure will not open outward.
  • Sliding structures. They are fragile and fragility, require careful handling and smooth opening. This design resembles blinds; when opened, the doors fold like an accordion.

Glass design options

Nowadays you don’t always see a cabinet with a solid mirror surface, since most often this element is subject to numerous options for decoration and decoration.

The sandblasting pattern on the mirror is a matte image applied to the surface using a special technology. This pattern does not wear off, does not fade, and is not very noticeable. The opposite situation is also possible: the entire mirror is coated using sandblasting technology with a matte tone, leaving a mirror ornament. The engraving does not interfere with the view at all.

In addition to sandblasting, stained glass, color tinting, photo printing, and laser engraving are widely used. The latter is distinguished by brightness, intensity and color saturation, clear thin lines and the most expensive price.

Often matte, colored sections alternate with pure reflective ones, creating a mosaic effect. It is also possible to frame the edges of the mirror and use lighting. The variety of possible images on the cabinet mirror can be found in the photographs provided.

By case type

It is important to choose the right type of structure for the bedroom. The following options are available on the market:

  • Cabinet cabinet. It is a one-piece design with back and side walls. Such a cabinet can be easily installed and, if necessary, moved from place to place. This option is perfect for people who like to change the decor of the room by rearranging the furniture.
  • Built-in design. In this option, there are no back or side walls, and all shelves are attached directly to the wall. This is a cheap and reliable option. This design cannot be easily moved to another location.
  • Semi-built-in wardrobe. This design is without a back wall. In this case, there may be one or two side walls. It all depends on the location of the closet in the room.

What kind of mirrors are used for cabinets?

There are several types of reflective surfaces:

  • Silver. The most common option with classic amalgam;
  • Colored. Color additives in the amalgam give the glass specified shades (bronze, green, blue, graphite);
  • Matte. Metals polished to a shine often serve in this capacity. The reflection has a foggy effect;
  • Tinted;
  • One-way visibility effect. At different angles it can give a reflection or look like ordinary transparent glass.

Any mirror can be made in two ways. The glass was not polished. This method is good only for pocket versions or for insertion into a massager. The surface will give a “wave” effect and distort the reflection. The most budget option. A complete process with annealing, polishing and grinding of glass. This will create a full-fledged mirror with ideal reflectivity. Although, this will depend on the coverage. Silver tinting is preferable to aluminum amalgam, which is susceptible to moisture and deteriorates faster. Reflection may be hazy.

According to the shape of the body

It is important to choose the correct body shape for the structure. The correctly chosen shape of the closet will make the bedroom interior not only beautiful, but also functional. There are three main types of structures:

  • Straight cabinet. The most common option. Most designer photos of bedroom wardrobes with a mirror show this particular option. This design is more spacious and fits most interiors.
  • Corner design. Such a cabinet can have a trapezoidal or triangular shape. A corner wardrobe for a bedroom with mirrors is perfect for a small bedroom or for people who have a minimum of things.
  • Radius model. Such cabinets have curved facades, which can be either convex or concave. This original solution is suitable for creative design interiors.
  • Pencil case. This tall and narrow design is suitable for small rooms or as additional storage.

Kinds

There are several types of wardrobes:

  1. The built-in wardrobe is mounted between the walls or placed in a niche. This structure has no floor and roof.
  2. The case version may have different dimensions, the number of doors also varies. Such models are placed near the wall.

Types, sizes and design of radius sliding wardrobes, placement tips
The shape of the cabinet can be angular or linear. The first option is placed exclusively in the corner, which allows for more efficient use of the room area. Such structures are made in the form of a triangle with two doors; L-shaped models are popular (often with a large number of doors). There is also a trapezoidal cabinet, which is more spacious.

The linear model is located in a straight line along the wall. Such furniture can be equipped with a different number of doors. Designers still advise placing a moderate number of mirrors. It is better to combine such surfaces with inserts made of leather, bamboo, frosted glass, and photo printing. Otherwise, the room may create an uncomfortable atmosphere.

Cabinet Built-in Straight Corner

Internal filling

Before purchasing a wardrobe, you need to decide on the following aspects:

  • Purpose of use. The internal filling of the structure depends on what things will be stored in it.
  • Size and number of things. It is important to calculate how many things will be on the shelves or hanging in the closet. Consider special compartments for small items and accessories.
  • Frequency of use of items. The most necessary things should be at a comfortable height. The shelves in this part of the cabinet should be as spacious as possible.

Materials for making the base and finishing of facades

Cabinets are made from the same materials as other cabinet furniture. The design of wardrobe doors varies.

  1. Plywood MDF is used only on the back wall of cabinets or the bottom of drawers, that is, on parts without load. It is a completely environmentally friendly material, so it is often used as an auxiliary material for children's cabinet furniture.
  2. Chipboard or particle board is made from larger sawdust and shavings with formaldehyde resin (“halva”). A common material from which most furniture is made or made to order. The strength is comparable to natural wood, but an order of magnitude cheaper. However, a model in which the surface of the “halva” is not completely covered (due to formaldehyde) is not recommended for children and allergy sufferers.
  3. Laminated chipboard or laminated chipboard with decor to match any wood texture is difficult to process; the trim sometimes peels off, revealing the “halva”. It is cut mainly on industrial machines. Most factory cabinet furniture is made from this material at affordable prices. The design of compartment doors made of laminated materials is not inferior in appearance to expensive wood.
  4. Natural wood is the most expensive in furniture production, especially if it is a rare species with a beautiful texture pattern. This cabinet is recommended for an elite interior decorated with natural materials. Classic sliding wardrobes with beautiful front designs will survive more than one generation; they can be given as gifts and passed on by inheritance.
  5. Veneered wood is an analogue of natural material, but a thin layer is removed and applied to a cheaper variety. Applicable only to the facade and external side surfaces. It costs an order of magnitude cheaper, but looks like natural wood - wenge, rosewood, etc. Eco-veneer is a synthetic analogue.

White wardrobe

Classic wardrobe in the room

The decoration of the facade uses not only natural wood or its imitation, but also other materials, mainly glass and plastic.

Mirror surfaces are an ideal option for a sliding door, especially when you want to visually expand a small room. Today, not only traditional glass with a silver amalgam on the back side is used, but also some types of highly reflective colored plastic. The black mirror design of the wardrobe doors in the living room looks original, as in the photo.

Stained glass will add variety to the boring interior of any room. Stained glass windows can be colored or combining glass of different textures - mirror, matte, corrugated and rough. Often this is an exclusive, that is, an author’s solution that has been worked on for several weeks. Such a facade is expensive, but in beauty and nobility such a “compartment” is not inferior to elite furniture.

Mirrored wardrobe in black

Bright wardrobe with mirrored doors and patterns

Decorative glass – the varieties listed above. A rough sandblasted pattern or frosted glass can be combined with sliding mirrors. This design of wardrobe doors is suitable for classic and modern interiors.

Photo facade or photo print is a relatively new design technique that is gaining popularity. A drawing or enlarged photograph is applied to laminated or regular surfaces. The plot depends on the style of the house and the functionality of the room:

  • baby photos on the closet are a great idea for a child’s room;
  • the landscape will replace photo wallpaper in the hallway with the illusion of open space;
  • still life is a great idea for a living room combined with a dining room;
  • a luxurious flower is an excellent idea for a romantic bedroom.

Textile finishing is used less frequently, but it is no less impressive. A stationary panel covered in leather or expensive fabric looks noble; you can even duplicate furniture upholstery or curtains. Sliding doors can be made of glass or mirror.

Natural decor in the design of wardrobe doors also looks very interesting. This is a flexible stone, cork, bamboo, which is very appropriate in a hallway decorated in a recognizable Japanese or other ethnic style.

Opaque wardrobe

Sliding wardrobe in the hallway interior

Colored adhesive film for glass or cabinet furniture decoration can also be used to change the design of a hallway or nursery. Although it is short-lived, it is easy to use; there is stained glass film for glass, imitation marble and wood. It is better to paste it over the fixed parts of the cabinet, as in the photo.

Combined facades can combine different materials, glossy and mirror surfaces. Luxury furniture is made from expensive materials, it is practical and durable. Therefore, you should not apply images or conduct experiments with adhesive film or vinyl pictures.

Mirror decor

For those who find a regular mirrored cabinet boring, options with decorations are suitable. There are several decorating techniques:

  • Airbrush. This is a drawing that is made on a mirror using a special gun. The customer can choose the option that suits the bedroom interior.
  • Stained glass painting. This is done using special paints. You can order the pattern from the cabinet manufacturer or make it yourself. This painting will perfectly refresh a white wardrobe with a mirror in the bedroom.
  • Mosaic. A labor-intensive and expensive technique in which the mirror is decorated with pieces of multi-colored glass.
  • Photo printing. A quick and inexpensive way to make a room stylish and original. Photo printing will perfectly refresh a white wardrobe with a mirror in the bedroom.
  • Color film. Inexpensive option for transforming your closet. The reflective properties of the mirror are almost completely lost.
  • Matting. A discreet decoration option that will add zest to the interior. Matting will perfectly refresh the corner wardrobe in the bedroom with mirrors.
  • Artificial frame. A decorative element that is glued to glass and imitates a real frame.

Facades

Combined cabinet fronts look most advantageous. Such products are much easier to fit into interiors of various styles. Mirrors are located over the entire surface of the facade or on one of the sashes. In this case, design solutions can combine the following types of mirrors:

  • classic - alternating regular and mirror surfaces;
  • geometric - involves a combination of rectangles with other materials;
  • diagonal - the facade is divided diagonally by a profile, the sides are made of different materials;
  • sectoral - the door leaf is divided into sections, the design is carried out according to sketches;
  • wave – original waves are created on the surface using profiles.

When choosing a wardrobe, it is important to pay attention to other interior elements, the size and purpose of the room. So, for the bedroom you should give preference to a mirror in the center of the product. With this design there will be enough light and visually free space. An additional retractable mirror can be placed inside the cabinet.

For the living room, a good option would be facades partially decorated with mirrors. This could be a wardrobe with photo printing or geometric design. For example, the top or bottom of the product is made of one material, and the remaining free part is filled with frosted glass and photo printing.

In the hallway, a wenge-colored wardrobe with a mirror is recommended to be placed along the wall. In this room, it is better to leave the mirror façade intact so that you can look at yourself in full height before leaving. One mirrored door will be enough; the material of the rest is selected depending on the style of the room.

Classic Geometric Diagonal Sector Wave

Features of mirror mounting

When purchasing a cabinet, it is important to pay attention to its façade. The design doors can be of several types:

  • Whole. The mirror is glued to the cabinet door. The structure becomes heavier.
  • Slotted. The mirror is installed in a slot in the sash.
  • Prefabricated. The facade is assembled from parts of different shapes and sizes. There can be heavy two-layer elements and light single-layer ones.
  • Frame. The sashes are lined with metal frames along the contour. This increases the wear resistance of the cabinet façade.

Why do you need a protective film and seal for a mirror?

The so-called “reinforcing” film is glued to the back of the mirror of sliding wardrobes to perform a protective function. If the mirror is accidentally broken, the small fragments will not scatter throughout the room, but will “hang” on the film.

Sealing tape is necessary when assembling mirror and glass sliding doors onto a profile. The profile groove is about 8-10mm, and the thickness of the blade is 4-5mm. The silicone seal also helps create a reinforcing effect. In the event of an accidental impact, soft vibrations “dampen” the possible destructive effect on the mirror or glass in the wardrobe door.

Methods for attaching mirrors

Before choosing a cabinet, it is important to know exactly how the mirrors are attached to it. The method of fastening affects the durability of the structure. There are several mounting options:

  • Double sided tape. An unreliable option, in which a heavy mirror may soon fall off.
  • Construction adhesive or liquid nails. Unsuitable option, which may lead to blackening of the surface.
  • Liquid silicone. Reliable option for mounting mirrors.
  • Stops located at the bottom. Special protrusions are installed on top. A reliable fastening method that thickens the door.
  • Mounting pendants. Small holes are made in the mirror, through which it is hung on the cabinet. A reliable fastening method that requires careful work.

Advantages and disadvantages

Review of outdoor cabinets for gas cylinders, selection rules

Comparing the wardrobe with other existing modifications of wardrobes, let us first highlight their advantages:

  1. Sliding wardrobes for the hall or living room are produced in several types: corner, built-in, radius, cabinet, straight. Depending on the shape of the room and the allocated space for installing furniture, you can choose your option from those listed. Sliding doors are made from different materials: plastic, chipboard, MDF, glass, rattan, bamboo.

The spaciousness and design of the cabinets allows you to very effectively manage the internal space, or filling, so that every item has its place. At the same time, the useful space of the living room occupied by it can be compensated by visual perception thanks to the use of a mirror facade - this way the room will seem larger and more spacious. When manufacturing large built-in wardrobes, no matter how surprising it may sound, the savings in materials are noticeable. This paradox is explained by the fact that the floor, ceiling and walls are made of side, top and bottom surfaces - instead of chipboard or wood, as is the case with cabinet furniture that is familiar to us. Therefore, a large share of the costs will be on ordering sliding doors and finishing their surfaces. Designing the internal space, or filling, of a sliding wardrobe is easier than for a regular wardrobe. This type of furniture will allow you to hide not only shoes and clothes, but also household appliances, arrange a full-fledged wardrobe in it and place many other important things for everyone. Often such a cabinet is part of a cabinet wall.

Thanks to the design of the compartment, you can hide some of the shortcomings of the room: for example, you can build it into a niche that cannot be used in any other way: this is done in case of defects in the layout or load-bearing structures (crooked walls, broken niche geometry, etc.). The design of the cabinet is elementary, such furniture is durable, made from clean, harmless materials, fits perfectly into any style and will decorate the interior of any style direction.

What can you say about the disadvantages?

  1. The sliding system for opening and closing doors wears out quite quickly, especially if it was installed in violation of the technology and on a surface that was not leveled in advance.
  2. To illuminate the contents in large cabinets, you will have to design and install a special lighting system, which will entail additional costs.
  3. The guides should be cleaned regularly, like the entire sliding mechanism, otherwise one day you simply will not be able to open your closet.

Where to buy a bedroom wardrobe?

There are many stores that specialize in the manufacture and sale of sliding wardrobes. The most reliable and common option is to go to IKEA or Leroy Merlin. You can select the desired cabinet and order it directly on the Internet with delivery to your home; the main thing is to know exactly all the necessary parameters and dimensions.

A mirrored wardrobe is ideal for a bedroom. A large range of designs will allow you to choose the most beautiful and functional solution for even the smallest room.

Depending on the area and interior features, furniture materials, colors, and design features are selected. For example, glossy surfaces, bright inserts and geometric patterns are suitable for modern furnishings. Mirror doors are universal, they are suitable for any style, but for a classic one it is better to choose sophisticated floral or stylized ornaments, and for modern ones you can use geometric relief or thermal printing.

Built-in compartments in dark shades are well suited for the bedroom, which give the decor more expressiveness and depth. But we must bear in mind that dark shades are not suitable for very small rooms. If there is a lack of space in the bedroom, it is better to choose furnishings in white colors, with mirror or glass inserts.

It is recommended to design sliding wardrobes in light warm colors – sand, beige, light coffee with bright inserts, which makes the decor more expressive. But the color must be the same as other furnishings; only a difference of 1-2 tones is allowed.

Types of structures

In living rooms you can use different types of corner cabinets. As a rule, the choice of model largely depends on the budget, taste of the owners, features of the room, and location. The price also depends on the internal content and functionality. There are the following types of corner cabinets:

  • radius type;
  • L-shaped;
  • trapezium;
  • pentagons;
  • triangles.

Radius view

This type, in turn, is divided into cabinets:

  • convex type;
  • concave type.

They look original and impressive, but their internal content requires a non-standard approach. Therefore, their cost is quite high. In addition, a radius cabinet will not fit into every interior from a stylistic point of view. But its streamlined shape looks very impressive and not bulky.

Triangular view

This model hides the corner itself without taking up much space. The cabinets are a very compact type, but their internal contents are quite unique and not suitable for everyone. Sharp corners are formed inside the structure; access to them can be difficult. They must have lighting. The shelves should not be made too deep.

Pentagonal view

Perhaps the most spacious of all corner structures. However, it is not suitable for a small living room. It will fit perfectly into a large room without harming the interior. It is often supplemented with open shelves on the sides, on which books and decorative items can be placed.

Trapezoid

This is the most universal model - regardless of the dimensions, its shape remains the same. Thus, a trapezoid can be either very large or quite miniature. A large trapezoidal wardrobe turns into a dressing room.

L-shaped view

One of the most popular variations, convenient, roomy, allows you to combine closed storage sections with an open shelving module. In the L-shaped cabinet, you can provide for the arrangement of books and a TV area. The obvious advantage of this design is the low price, since right-angled modules are easy to manufacture.

Depending on the type of installation, cabinets can be built-in or free-standing. Built-in ones are more compact and practical, they use the maximum usable area and allow you to place any sections at the request of the customer. Freestanding cabinets are cheaper, but modifications cannot be made to them. In addition, they are of a standard size, which means that it will not be possible to adjust them to the features of the room. But they can be rearranged if necessary, since they are not attached to the wall.

The built-in wardrobe looks somewhat massive in a room with high ceilings, unless, of course, you reduce its design by adding another level, but this will require additional funds.

Based on their external design, corner wardrobes are divided into mirrored and without mirrors.

Wardrobe with mirror

Some consider it not very safe, but this is a wrong point of view, they are as reliable as a cabinet with a wooden front. The mirror cannot break accidentally, as it is covered with a special protective film. If you intentionally break glass, you don't have to worry about the fragments.

A mirrored cabinet visually expands the space, making the room larger and deeper. In addition, it is simply convenient - there is something to look at if necessary. In addition, the advantage of a cabinet with a mirror is the variety of decorative variations. You can apply any design, pattern, or pattern to the mirror that matches the overall style of the living room. The choice of decor is huge, it is applied in different ways: with a sand stream or oracle.

A wardrobe without a mirror will fit well in a bright, large living room in a classic style.

Bathroom

Why install mirrored doors in the bathroom? Because they create a strong sense of spaciousness, they reflect light, and they enhance the brightness and reflect the interior elements we want, such as tiles. When mirrored doors are combined with marble and floral wallpaper, the result will be elegant and charming. Photo below.

There's nothing more modern than a mirrored hallway in a bathroom, especially when crisp whites and cool metallic tones are included in the composition!. A simple, clean, and bright mood for a room that should inspire you at any time of the day!

Color solutions

Choosing a cabinet is a rather long and time-consuming process. It should not only be roomy, comfortable, multifunctional, but also suitable in style and color scheme for your interior, not stand out from the overall picture and live a “life of its own,” but fit harmoniously into the design of the room.

The predominance of white color in the interior is by far the most popular color, as it helps to visually expand the room. A light wardrobe will look great in the bedroom; it will not only fill the room with light, but also give it airiness, and those in it will experience a feeling of complete harmony and peace.

Such a cabinet will look no less impressive in the living room. It will fit into any type of interior, and will complement not only the traditional, but also the modern design of the room. To add playfulness, the facade of such a cabinet can be decorated with stencils, colored films and photo printing. In addition, with the help of white furniture you can easily save space and expand the boundaries of even the smallest living room.

The interior of the office is usually done in brown tones, but in order to add a touch of lightness and ease, this interior is diluted with a large, light wardrobe, which literally refreshes the office.

If we talk about black furniture, designers are wary of it, because if you don’t think through the right interior design, such a cabinet can look bulky and pretentious. It is usually suitable for a minimalist style, where laconic forms are welcome, and for a high-tech style. Such a wardrobe will go well with light walls and light details placed around the room.

If a black matte wardrobe evokes sadness and has an oppressive effect, a glossy one, on the contrary, looks more stylish and adds depth to the space. They can be installed in combination with a white wall, so as not to create the impression of some kind of oppression.

It is worth noting that a wardrobe made of white oak would be an excellent purchase. This color, like no other, embodies the symbol of purity. By installing such a piece of furniture in the living room or bedroom, you can get rid of stress and significantly expand the space. This type of cabinet is absolutely not easily soiled, thanks to its almost matte texture; it requires minimal maintenance since it does not leave fingerprints.

Also, you should take a closer look at buying furniture that has a blue tint. Because it is one of the calming and airy flowers. It doesn’t become boring, and besides, blue goes well with half the color spectrum (red, brick, ultramarine, orange, light purple). This color is perfect for the kitchen and will reflect the sun's glare incredibly beautifully.

Wardrobe

It looks like this is the last interior detail in which the mirrored cabinet deserves special attention! If you have a separate room for a wardrobe, then it is also appropriate to use mirrors in it. Advantages and disadvantages

A wardrobe with mirrored doors is a very profitable purchase. Any user can easily appreciate its advantages. The main advantages of furniture:

  1. The reflective surface creates the illusion of expanding space, adds light to the room, and gives the effect of airiness and lightness to the interior. For a small room these are tangible advantages.
  2. A large mirror is a decoration for any room. This is a bright, stylish accent that attracts attention and gives a special charm to the bedroom or living room.
  3. A mirror in a closet with lighting looks amazing. This solution is ideal for a hallway that lacks natural light.
  4. A large reflective panel provides special comfort, allowing the owner to look at himself from any angle. A large mirror at the front door is simply irreplaceable so that a person can clean himself up before going out.
  5. A cabinet with mirrors eliminates the need to clutter the room (especially important for small apartments) with unnecessary objects, because the reflective sheet is already located on the furniture panel.
  6. A mirrored closet not only allows you to look at yourself from head to toe, it also perfectly organizes the space. Like any storage system, such a product can accommodate a wide variety of things and may contain niches for installing household appliances. Open shelves perfectly solve the problem of placing various useful little things, and also serve as a place for decoration. Hinged hooks on the outside will allow you to hang outerwear; you can also use them for accessories (belts, bags, umbrellas, scarves, gloves). Lower sections for boots, boots, shoes in the form of a built-in cabinet-bench will help maintain order in the hallway, as well as put on your shoes comfortably.
  7. A wardrobe with a mirror will fit well into any room, be it a bathroom, bedroom or hallway. Such furniture is suitable for a variety of interior styles.

Designs with reflective surfaces also have disadvantages, and this must be remembered. Thus, you will have to take care of such panels with special diligence, daily wiping off the endless stains and fingerprints left by your fingers. Moreover, the cost of good detergents is not cheap at all.

The quality of the material must be high so that the mirror does not pose a threat to those living in the house, this requirement is especially important for children's rooms.

Materials for production

The vast majority of sliding wardrobes are made from two types of material:

Laminated chipboard, which is a chipboard covered with a decorative laminate, which, as a rule, imitates valuable wood species.

Chipboard is wood particles pressed at high temperatures and bound with formaldehyde resin. The ends of the chipboard must be covered with edging tape, since the material is afraid of moisture. The quality and durability of chipboard is noticeably inferior to MDF.

MDF (from English Medium Density Fiberboard), or medium density fiberboard in Russian, is made from small sawdust, to which paraffin or rosin is added as a water repellent.

For strength, synthetic resins (4-8%) are also added. MDF is an environmentally friendly and harmless material, has a high degree of mechanical strength and is not afraid of moisture. The cost of a wardrobe made of MDF is an order of magnitude higher than that of a similar product made of laminated chipboard.
