We have a large kitchen-living room, for which we decided to buy a corner sofa bed. Since we sleep on a bed in the bedroom, the sofa was needed for relaxing during the day and as a backup option for guests. For this reason, we decided not to bother and take something inexpensive, but suitable in style and size. The choice was made on this model from Ikea, although reviews of Frihetan were contradictory.
The sofa is delivered in several packages; you will have to assemble it yourself. I don’t know for how long, since I wasn’t the one doing the assembly. The sofa turned out to be much larger than I thought in the store, so initially I planned to put it against the wall, as it stands in the photo, but in the end it stands along our window and faces the room.
It has a large storage box in the corner. It unfolds without incident, the lower part simply slides out and then rises. The entire surface of the sofa, including the pull-out one, has the same rigidity. That is, it will not be the same as with “Atlanta” from “Lots of Furniture,” when the seating part is soft, and the pull-out part is a board covered with a thin layer of padding polyester or cotton wool. Here you can sleep comfortably on the entire sofa.
There were several different colors. Since we didn’t know what kind of kitchen we would choose later, and we needed a sofa urgently, we decided to take a neutral dark gray one, since it would definitely go with everything.
The sofa back cushions are stitched with the same material on all sides (I compare everything with the same “Atlanta”). The back itself is small, and sitting without a pillow is uncomfortable. But pillows can be rearranged in different ways. We use them actively, since we also put them under our backs when we lie down and watch a movie.
We only slept on it a couple of times, but most of the time it sits disassembled, since it’s more convenient to lie around with laptops.
