Still, an area of 4 meters cannot be called spacious. Therefore, the room must be used to the maximum. In addition to shelves or a cabinet above the washbasin, you can use the space above the doorway. On average, its height is 30-40 cm. There you can arrange a place to store towels or household chemicals. This is especially true in a house where there are small children - there they definitely won’t get their hands on dangerous liquids and powders. The main task is to fit this shelf into the existing design.

Don't forget about ventilation!

Poor hood in a small bathroom of 4 sq.m. will provoke a significant increase in humidity, as a result of which condensation will begin to accumulate. This threatens the formation of bacterial accumulations on surfaces and the development of fungus.

Although exhaust ducts exist in all high-rise buildings, in old buildings they are often dirty and cannot fully perform their functions. The easiest way to improve air circulation is to increase the gap under the door by a couple of centimeters.

A more progressive option is to install an electric wall fan with an autonomous switch. Such a device will do its job perfectly, even if the home’s ventilation system is quite clogged.

Lighting

The less the lamps protrude beyond the plane, the less overloaded the background and interior are, respectively. It’s not for nothing that in modern bathrooms, instead of sconces, niches with “dots” are used. If there are too many of the latter, then they can be replaced on the ceiling with built-in panels.

Things are a little more complicated with the Loft style. The point is that he welcomes pendant lamps. They are less secure, but very visual. The conclusion suggests itself: it is better to use the corresponding “chandeliers” in a single copy.

The real luck is the presence of windows. During the daytime, they replace general artificial lighting.

At worst, you can use curtains. If there is a lack of natural light, it is better to do without curtains by covering the glass with reflective film.
And do not forget that glazing promotes ventilation.

With toilet
