Step 3 . Sand the surfaces of the shields. If you do not have a special grinding machine, then you can use an ordinary drill, there is one in every home. Buy a rubber disc with sanding paper for it and work the shields very carefully. We have already mentioned that after the first layer of varnish or paint, lint may rise, so be prepared for repeated sanding. This matter takes time and nerves, don’t rush. The appearance of the furniture largely depends on the quality of this operation. You can only sand the outer surfaces, but we advise you not to be lazy and put both in order.

Step 4 . Drill holes for furniture screws. They must be located strictly in the middle of the thickness of the shield, the distance from the edge is at least five centimeters. In our example, the shelves are made of plywood; when self-tapping screws are screwed into it without prepared holes, cracks are sure to form. If you do not have a special drill for confirmations, then you need to make holes for the countersunk fasteners. There are various methods: use a large diameter drill, tilt it to the sides at the same time, etc.

Step 5 . Screw the Euroscrews into the prepared holes. If you have doubts about the strength of the structure, tighten one more hardware.

Step 6 . Mark the position of the vertical partitions of the wall cabinet. The distance between them is selected depending on the size of the doors, the gap is approximately two millimeters. Drill holes and secure the vertical partitions.

Step 7 . Fix the shelves. It is much more convenient to do this at this stage - there is still free access to elements from all sides.

Practical advice. To control the depth of the hole, glue masking tape or electrical tape to the drill at the required distance from the end. This simple device greatly speeds up the work and completely eliminates the need to drill through holes. Shelves can be installed on special plastic supports or ordinary wooden dowels. In practice, both options have proven themselves to be positive; there is no difference between them.

Step 8 . Secure the back wall. We make it from a sheet of plywood 6 mm thick. Such a thick material was specially chosen; the back wall should significantly strengthen the structure. The frame was assembled using the simplest technology and does not guarantee long-term stability; over time, due to the opening/closing of doors, it can become loose. A strong back wall will not allow such negative consequences to appear. Screw the wall with self-tapping screws into the prepared holes, the diameter of the hardware is approximately 3–4 mm, the length is 2–3 cm.

Step 9 . Screw metal perforated plates to the back wall; the shelf will be hung on them to the wall. You can change the principle of fixation and hardware at your discretion; we choose simple and reliable solutions.

Step 10 . Screw the doors. They are fixed with special hinges, holes Ø 35 mm are drilled for them, you need to have a Forstner drill. When choosing an installation location, make sure that the hinge does not interfere with the internal shelves. Using the same algorithm, install all the doors, adjust their position using the screws on the furniture hinges.
