Small kanzashi flowers, made from shir ribbon. 2.5 cm.

I made small flowers from shir ribbon. 2.5 cm single. In fact, I only had white ribbon of this width. But there were no pink and lilac flowers, such a shade. Therefore, I simply cut the ribbons wide. 5 cm. From one 5 cm square it turns out - 4 squares of 2.5 cm. I cut it with a soldering iron using a ruler. I made white and pink flowers only because there was very little pink ribbon left. There were 28 pieces in total, 14 for each curtain tieback.

Now, I needed to make the stamens. Here I decided to experiment. I have long wanted to make stamens from wire, for two reasons:

And most importantly, I wanted to give the work volume. When flowers are glued directly to any base, everything turns out in one plane and lacks natural volume.

But looking ahead, I will say that I was not entirely satisfied with this experiment. It was necessary to use a wire that was a little more elastic, or to make the stamens from a different material. The stamens of this wire had to be straightened after you accidentally touched them. One thing that reassured me was that this was not a hair accessory that was constantly being put on/taken off. I hung the curtain tiebacks properly, straightened the stamens and let them hang. But this experience was useful for me))).

And so: I took the wire, put small beads on the middle of the wire and twisted it.

For small flowers I used one stamen at a time. And for larger ones, I twisted five stamens together.

I glued the stamens to large flowers like this:

I threaded 5 stamens twisted together into a bead (larger than the beads on the stamens) and inserted it all into the flower. Here, in the center of the flower, there was an un-glued space (by the way, that’s why when gluing the petals together, I tried to apply the glue a little short of reaching the base of the petal). And then I lifted the bead up so that it would not get in the way when I applied the glue.
Then I applied a little hot glue to the bottom of the flower and lowered the bead, pressing it.
After the glue cooled, I made a stem for the flowers. I took a skewer and wrapped a wire around it, as in photo No. 3.
For small flowers, I glued the stamen beads directly to the bottom of the flower. And she also twisted the leg (photo No. 4).

Also, to decorate the curtain tiebacks, I needed green leaves. Exactly the same, but golden in color, I made leaves for Rose from satin ribbon. There I used a burner, but practice has shown that cutting or soldering synthetic material is more convenient with a soldering iron and the result is smoother.
