And, of course, in such an interior there is no place for template solutions, but original finds - pieces of furniture, decor, lamps, non-standard techniques for zoning and transforming space - are welcome.
Design of an elite apartment in St. Petersburg
In this review with a selection of photos from the portfolio of the International Design Studio of Ruslan and Maria Green, we will talk about the features of creating luxury designer interiors, spectacular planning solutions and original decorating ideas.
Living room with corner fireplace in classic style
In the photo: Corner fireplace in a classic living room with a second light
A corner fireplace with a classic white portal, decorated with sculptural details, gilded decor, paintings and mirror panels, is the first contender for the role of the main stylistic accent in a classic living room with second light. Located between two windows, it is the center of the interior composition and emphasizes the height of the ceiling.
White kitchen with stained glass ceiling and marble island
In the photo: White kitchen in a classic style with a stained glass ceiling and an island
The “highlight” of the white classic kitchen is the designer stained glass ceiling with an abstract pattern, which contains popular floral motifs. It not only decorates the room, but also serves as a light fixture, drawing attention to the large island with a marble top.
Finishing
Elite class repairs differ from standard ones, first of all, in significant prices. This is explained by the high quality of the materials used and the fact that all issues related to the renovation of a house or apartment are resolved exclusively by professionals. The customer does not have to constantly participate in the process himself.
Premium home renovations are carried out on the basis of a pre-compiled design project and estimate. At all stages of work, the specialist exercises author's control to ensure that the project is carried out exactly. Another feature is that all the finishing materials used are produced by world-famous companies or made to special order. Only highly qualified workers can work with luxury, elite-class products. Their prices are higher than those of ordinary specialists. Workers who have undergone special training can create complex plasterboard structures for ceilings and walls, and are proficient in laying mosaic parquet and painting frescoes on walls.
The walls are decorated with wallpaper with a textured pattern or fabric embossing. For rooms in eco- or ethnic style, bamboo or cork panels are suitable. Wood, brickwork, good ceramic tiles for the bathroom - all these materials have a place in an elite interior.
To finish the floor, use natural or artificial stone, good ceramic tiles, parquet boards or parquet made of natural wood. The stone is also used for cladding the fireplace (it combines aesthetics and fire resistance). Carpet, linoleum and laminate are absolutely not suitable for luxury design.
For ceilings, you can use plaster, including decorative one. Tensile structures also look good. Here you can experiment with a combination of not only shades, but also textures.
All work is carried out on the basis of a design project. As a result, the customer receives housing with a truly unique interior. Elite renovation of a house or apartment is for people accustomed to luxury and maximum comfort, who know how to appreciate real beauty.

The luxurious Y-shaped symmetrical staircase with semicircular winder steps and gilded wrought iron railing is worthy of an imperial palace. Columns with richly decorated capitals highlight the classic design of the structure. And the LED strip placed under the steps gives them an impressive volume and can be used as night lighting.

Gilded stucco molding, skillful imitation of boiserie panels, elegant palace chandeliers - a turquoise bedroom in a classic style resembles the apartment of a court lady. And a luxurious bed with a soft headboard and a canopy on a circular decorative holder fits perfectly into such an environment.
Basic styles of luxury home interior design
Elite interior design of a living room or bedroom can be made in Provence style. Such an interior is decorated in delicate, pastel shades; it always contains light, light fabrics; in the decor, preference is given to figurines made of porcelain or ceramics. Wall covering is especially important in the Provencal style: paint or plaster is used for it.
Colonial design is based on the principles of the classical style, but it adds elements typical of oriental interiors. Natural materials, rich decor and exotic motifs can make an apartment truly chic. Colonial details make a classic design more modern and interesting.
To create an atmosphere of nobility and luxury in your apartment, you can decorate it in English style . It combines and complements each other with strict Georgian style and aristocratic Victorian style.
The walls here are usually covered with wallpaper. The design can be decorated with a light floral ornament. It will harmonize with wooden furniture (elite species such as oak or walnut are selected). In living areas, the floor is covered with parquet, and in the kitchen and bathroom - with tiles. In general, the English style is characterized by restraint and conservatism.
Art Deco is a young progressive style. Increasingly, it is used to create luxury interior design. Design in this style combines classic and modern, making each project unique. Art Deco requires the mandatory use of exclusive details: this can be designer furniture, decorative elements, as well as unusual coverings. This style is characterized by wall decoration in the color of wet sea sand. The interior is based on materials such as wood and leather, which can be painted in bright colors.
Baroque is what immediately comes to mind when we talk about a luxurious interior. Baroque is characterized by brightness, aristocracy and even some pretentiousness. It is in this style that you will find the most stucco moldings and frescoes, which can be painted in accordance with a specific theme.
Marble floors and walls draped with silk or velvet are also features of this unusual style. The most expensive luxury materials are used in the design: the floor can be covered with natural wood parquet or even semi-precious stones. The Baroque style is a certain ensemble in which the combination of all the details provides a defiantly luxurious interior of the room.
The loft is suitable for practical people who prefer minimalism in the interior and do not want to be too demonstrative. The very name of this style is translated from English as “attic”. It is typical for it to design walls using brick or its imitation. Instead of covering pipes and other communications, and hiding wires under baseboards, in the loft everything is left open. All elements that have a purely practical meaning, with this design, also acquire an aesthetic function.

Wall panels with lighting and carved decor, plaster ceiling moldings and a beveled mirror - the bedroom interior, decorated with pompous luxury, immerses you in the atmosphere of the classicism era. Palace luxury and classic colors in shades of white with gold and wine accents are worthy of the boudoir of a noble lady.

The author of the project, Pavel Romanov, created an interior that integrates an impressive collection of art objects - modern paintings, sculptures and antique objects LALIQUE. These are museum-quality items purchased at auctions. Pavel Romanov did not create a laconic “exhibition” space; on the contrary, he complicated it as much as possible. He created a living interior, where even the most unusual collection items look organic.

Dmitry Korshunov: “The main task for us was to create a bright, memorable space, impressive with its boldness and ambition at first sight. At the same time, there was no talk of any classics, only modern forms and materials. The result was a luxurious interior with a masculine character and notes of mysticism and mystery.” The authors of the project are designer Dmitry Korshunov, architect Elena Korshunova (Korshunov Architects, Moscow)

Clients of Angelika Prudnikova's Studio of Elite Interiors most often choose the art deco style for the design of their apartments: extraordinary, bright and slightly shocking. The second place in popularity is occupied by modern style with notes of urbanism. And the top three is rounded off by timeless classics – respectable and status-worthy. The photos below give a complete picture of what luxury apartments look like, the design of which is implemented in these styles.
Multi-level light in the living room interior

Contour lighting of the ceiling, a luminous panel made of natural stone, paired floor lamps that complete the symmetrical furniture composition - there are many light sources in the living room design in the photo. And each of them can rightfully be called exclusive, because they were created specifically for this project. And the most impressive is the central LED chandelier with hundreds of small glass pendants.
Luxury houses, cottages and mansions of rich people
A cottage or mansion with an attic, veranda, and swimming pool gives the designer unlimited space to create a luxurious interior. And the more spacious the house and the more complex its configuration, the more interesting and original the design project will be for a sophisticated wealthy customer.

So, let's summarize. You can create a luxurious interior of a mansion, cottage or apartment in any style, be it classic or hi-tech. The main thing is to entrust the development of a design project to experienced professionals: creative, sensitive and not accepting of template solutions.

The leitmotif of the design project for the Moscow townhouse was the original patterns created by Ruslan and Maria Green, with which the designers decorated the floors, glass doors and even the ceiling. They have both classical overtones and Arabic notes, making them easy to integrate into any space.
Differences between luxury and economy interiors
The design of the highest elite class is formed using various aesthetic techniques and decorative items. The first stage is drawing up a design project. At the same time, it is important to take into account the client’s wishes as much as possible, even if they seem far from fashionable to the designer. A good specialist will be able to develop such a project in order to find a compromise and be able to convince the customer that the chosen option is optimal. The advantages of elite design include:
- An individual design project is distinguished by careful thought out of all details, down to the smallest and most insignificant. Such interiors simultaneously combine practicality, functionality,
- Using the highest quality finishing materials. The question is not only about their aesthetics. All materials are completely environmentally safe. In addition, they are durable and practical. The interior will retain its impeccable appearance much longer than in the case of a standard economy class design;
- Rational use of premises. The entire space is optimally planned. The furniture fits into the configuration of the rooms without the slightest error. It perfectly matches the style and size of the rooms;
- The interior is designed in a certain style. If necessary, a specialist will advise which style is optimal for a given apartment or house.
And, of course, the elite class differs from the “economy” class in price. However, the result is such that it justifies the wildest dreams and hopes.
Creating an elite design involves additional costs. However, they are fully compensated by the unique design of the rooms and the excellent quality of the elements used.
Monochrome bedroom interior in light colors
In the photo: Modern bedroom in light colors
Light shades of baked milk, latte, cappuccino are an excellent choice for a modern bedroom with decorative details in brass or gold. But to make such an interior complex and interesting, designers Ruslan and Maria Green advise using materials with different textures. And you can decorate the interior with a large painting in the same color scheme.
Furniture, lighting and accessories in luxury interior design
Furniture
According to a number of criteria, luxury furniture is seriously different from middle-class items. For such products they turn to manufacturers whose level of production has been proven by time. Although their products are priced high, many people are willing to pay for high quality. As for styles, classic, modern, empire and baroque are suitable for an elite interior.
The most popular materials are natural wood, especially rare species. It's no secret that wood is a special, living material that can change not only the appearance, but also the energy of the room. Oak is most often used in luxury interior design. Also no less strong and durable is ash, which is also distinguished by its plasticity. Furniture made of cherry and beech can also become part of an elegant interior - these types of wood are simply created for a rich environment.
Lighting
Lighting is the most important aspect of the design of any room. And luxury apartments must certainly have high-quality designer lighting fixtures. Elite interior design of a country house also requires external lighting, which is provided by special street lamps. At night, additional light in the area is simply necessary. All lamps must correspond to the general atmosphere of the house: in a room with high-quality renovation and expensive luxurious furniture, a simple glass chandelier will look at least out of place.
Italians are considered recognized masters in the manufacture of crystal chandeliers. Italian-made lighting fixtures are true works of art. Such products become a decoration for luxury apartments and a worthy completion of the design.
Nowadays, crystal, among other things, is painted in different colors, which gives the interior a certain zest. It is equally important that crystal is a safe and environmentally friendly material. We can say that an original and high-quality crystal chandelier in the design of an apartment becomes a kind of sign of the success and security of its owner. By purchasing it, a person can be sure that a beautiful and practical lighting device will serve him for many years.
Textile
The choice of textiles for the home is now quite wide, and for an elite apartment it is also easy to choose products of the appropriate class. There are shops offering branded textiles made in German, French and Italian production in any major city. If you wish, you can order your favorite products online.
Well-known companies in this field produce safe and high-quality textiles: sometimes it’s simply impossible to take your eyes off these products. Elite class design without it will not be complete. The natural fabrics used in production are safe for humans, very pleasant to the touch and comfortable to wear. The appearance and color scheme of luxury textiles is developed by designers taking into account modern trends.
Accessories
An accessory is a small touch that completes the overall picture of the interior. Elite design involves the use of exclusive decorative elements: these should not just be beautiful trinkets, but truly unique paintings, sculptures and lamps. It is also important that each item in the setting should be in harmony with other details and fit organically into the overall concept of the room.
Hall with exclusive floor and wall design
In the photo: Exclusive designer panels and designer flooring in the interior of the hall
Slabs made of natural onyx and marble, narrow panels, baseboards and cornices made of wood and stone veneer, moldings and gold-colored sconces - the decoration of the hallway and corridor in the photo impresses with its spectacular appearance. Thanks to the clear geometry of decorative elements, the space looks orderly and dynamic. And as counter parts for the stone carpets, the designers used ceiling panels and stained glass windows.

The presence of paired decorative elements in the interior works great to organize the space. And the stained glass ceiling and counter element on the floor with the same pattern also create an interesting perspective.
Kitchen-dining room in powdery tones with LED lighting
In the photo: Kitchen-dining room in Art Deco style in powdery tones
Light powdery shades are an ideal solution for a kitchen-dining room in a private house decorated in the Art Deco style. Thanks to laconic furniture, the original decor comes to the fore: narrow wooden panels, gold-colored metal moldings, stone veneer cornices, a mirror panel on the ceiling. And LED lighting of the ceiling, walls and apron adds depth to the space.
Choose high-quality finishing materials
Of course, I would like to pay attention to both the quality and relevance of the materials. The premium concept in interior design includes natural stone (marble, large-format porcelain stoneware), natural wood both in decoration (for example, parquet on the floor or wooden panels on the wall), and in furniture (for example, a slab countertop), leather, fur. Just the same, they will remain in trend for a long time. But I would like to dwell on the trends in more detail.

Multifunctional living room with sliding partition
In the photo: Design of a cottage in the Art Deco style with a sliding partition
The multifunctional living room, smoothly flowing into the hall, looks very organic thanks to the light, laconic finish with narrow wooden panels as accent details. And the largest decorative element in the room is a sliding partition with frosted glazing and a classic layout.
Emphasize the advantages of the layout
A premium-class interior, as in the photos of design projects, is unlikely to be created in a cramped apartment. It is characterized by high ceilings, wide doorways and large windows that allow a lot of natural light into the room. The advantages of the layout can be emphasized. For example, high ceilings are made visually even higher by floor-length curtains and a few tricks in decoration: vertical stripes on the wallpaper, wooden slats directed towards the ceiling. Even classic elements that often weigh down space can be beneficial. For example, vertical moldings on the walls will also visually extend the height of the ceiling, but at the same time they will also add sophistication and modern classic chic.

Modern office with ceiling painting
In the photo: Ceiling painting in the design of a bright office in the art deco style
The compact, bright office, which is separated from the living room by a sliding partition, is decorated in the same manner as the entire public area. So the combined space looks harmonious. And the main decoration of the office was the ceiling painting in a light watercolor style.
Arrangement of a two-room apartment
Having two rooms in the house allows you to organize significant functional areas as comfortably as possible. As a rule, one room is allocated for the living room, and the other for the bedroom and/or children's room. By the way, the living room can be combined with a study, since it does not take up much space. We recommend using a rack as a partition. The living room should not be cluttered with furniture. One sofa, a miniature chair and a coffee table on wheels are enough. Most of the space in the second room (children's room or bedroom) is occupied by a bed and other furniture (wardrobe, dressing table, chest of drawers, etc.). Most often, bedrooms are furnished in classicism, vintage or baroque style. For children's rooms, it is better to choose more dynamic styles, such as modern, high-tech, and fusion. More interior design options for two-room apartments can be found in the photos on the Internet.
Art Deco style bedroom with soft panels and fresco
In the photo: Art Deco style bedroom with upholstered headboard and fresco
Pleasant powdery-cream shades with the addition of purple accents are ideal for creating a comfortable, enveloping environment. Also, a unique design decoration works to create coziness: a monochrome fresco with a peaceful landscape and a soft panel at the head with a fashionable 3D effect.
Apartment interior
The interior of a luxury apartment is an exquisite and chic work of art, in which all the touches and elements create a complete image. The environment in which a person lives influences him, like his profession or environment. Exquisite decoration, a high level of comfort, the use of interesting high-quality materials, uniqueness and thoughtfulness of details down to the smallest detail are what distinguishes elite class apartments from the standard version. Features of elite class repairs are as follows:
- A complex approach. Only for luxury housing is the “smart home” program implemented, using special technologies that make it possible to control living in the apartment. Equipment is equipped with special sensors that transmit information about the state of communications. In addition, this means the use of high-quality heat and sound insulation materials, unique design solutions;
- Taking into account the customer's wishes to the maximum;
- Application of high-quality technologies and materials. Unlike standard renovation options, luxury apartment decoration involves the use of expensive materials such as natural stone, porcelain stoneware or wood.
