No matter what style of interior you prefer, and no matter how much clothes you store in your closet, the Pax wardrobe from Ikea will cope with any task. Pax is a structure made up of many elements that can be combined with each other, swapped and placed in any order, like a construction set. The size of the frame, the design style of the doors, the internal contents - all this can be selected according to your tastes and needs.

Pax wardrobes consist of several rectangular compartments that are easily fastened together with special bolts. The doors can be hinged, like most traditional wardrobe models, or sliding, and the interior space is filled with shelves, hangers, drawers and other useful elements.
Sometimes it can be difficult to choose a wardrobe that fits the size of the room. In this case, you have to make a custom-made cabinet and overpay significant amounts. With the Pax wardrobe from Ikea, you don’t have to worry about this problem - there are several configuration options, so choosing the right model is quite simple.

Features and Benefits
The main advantage of the Pax storage system is the ability to independently plan its internal structure. The company's catalog presents basic wardrobe models that can be purchased in the store if they completely suit you, and it is possible to change the arrangement of shelves and drawers after assembly in accordance with changing needs. If you have certain requirements for dimensions, internal distribution of sections, color of facades and doors, then a virtual designer will come to the rescue.
If you don’t have time to plan on your own or you don’t understand the program very well, then you can create the design of your future cabinet with a company specialist.
The second feature is the affordable cost of the cabinet. There is only one frame on which the structure is assembled, but you can order more expensive fittings and cladding for it. The cost of the finished option ranges from 7,700 rubles for a two-section wardrobe and reaches 62,000 rubles for a six-section, three-meter structure made of natural wood. Another feature is a 10-year manufacturer's warranty on all storage systems.
Regardless of what material your “Pax” will be assembled from, the company promises warranty service for the product, which covers manufacturing defects in the design itself or accessories.
The fourth feature is the ability to fit a wardrobe into any room, from a small hallway in a Khrushchev building to a spacious bedroom in a cottage. Wardrobes have a shallow depth, so they are suitable even for narrow corridors.
An additional plus is a wide range of cladding colors. Problems with choosing a combination of wardrobe with the rest of the interior never arise.
Models
All Pax wardrobe models do not have a personal name due to the fact that the assembly concept involves the creation of a huge number of combinations, but they can be conditionally divided into three categories:
- With swing doors. Models with sliding doors are an excellent choice for those who save space in the room. The cost of this option is higher than the standard one, and it is more difficult to assemble, but these disadvantages are offset by ease of use. The only negative that these dressing rooms have is that the frame for models with sliding doors can no longer be used for swing doors. Models with hinged doors allow the doors to be hung from either side. Holes for hinges are provided on each side wall and are closed with special plugs. The doors are also attached to four hinges - two standard and two with closers.
- With sliding doors. A special feature of sliding structures is the mirror design: you can choose the type of mirror on the door, its shape, engraving or sectional layout.
- Angular. The corner wardrobe differs from the usual similar options in its design. If standard models use beveled doors, which need to be opened simultaneously, then in Pax the doors are located on each section and open independently. Thus, the section where the drawers with linen are located does not open if it is necessary to remove outerwear.
Pax wardrobe style and design
Once the size is determined, you can move on to the fun part and choose the design of your future wardrobe. All models are made in the traditional Ikea minimalist style, distinguished by their simplicity of shape and clear lines.

For small rooms, the best option would be a white Pax wardrobe - this color has the ability to expand the space, and glass or mirror doors will give the room lightness and airiness.
Pax's stylish black-brown wardrobe looks solid and monumental, making the room elegant and moderately austere. This option will appeal to connoisseurs of classic interiors.

Materials
Pax wardrobes are made from different materials, and the basic cost of the wardrobe depends on them. Modern design involves a frame made of chipboard and laminated boards, the doors are finished with melamine film. The back wall is always made of fiberboard. Standard fittings are made of nickel, steel and have a copper coating. The baskets and other metal parts inside the structure are made of steel with a phosphate anti-corrosion coating.
The coating is based on epoxy or polyester resin with a colored pigment. Parts of wheels and handles are made of acetal plastic, plastic, polypropylene.
Doors and drawers are painted with acrylic paint.
All materials are suitable for further processing and do not harm human health or the environment. In more expensive models, the doors, and, if desired, the frame, can be trimmed with wood. Oak veneer is especially popular.
Dimensions
It is easy to choose the right size if the buyer immediately comes with ready-made parameters, having made a preliminary measurement of the house. The developers of the Pax wardrobe models from the IKEA brand have thought through everything so ergonomically that the model can be ideally installed in rooms of any size.
Main parameters of headsets:
- height – from 201 to 236 cm;
- width – from 50 to 300 cm;
- depth - from 35 to 58, and sometimes even up to 70 cm.
Straight linear structures are installed along the center of the wall, near the wall closer to the window, corner or door, and also scattered near the walls. Corner options are suitable for interiors where furniture is arranged in a non-standard way.
Modular wardrobes are structures consisting of separate blocks. The advantages of this solution are that the block modules can be installed in any order, they are easy to move from place to place, and they are easily transported when moving. Entire sections can cover the entire wall.
Colors and model options
The brand has long established itself as a manufacturer of high-quality parts for stylish furniture for self-assembly. Door options can be hinged or sliding. The doors of the individual upper modules are hinged.
Basic colors and shades of PAX wardrobes:
- dark or lightened oak;
- classic brown;
- black strict;
- white refreshing;
- silver, metallic;
- blue, blue;
- beige;
- woody - the color of birch, pine, ash, beech, cherry, rosewood, mahogany (mahogany).
Pax's light wardrobe will gracefully fit into interiors of such styles as: classic, eclecticism, cubism, minimalism. Models in gray shades with inserts made of glass, chromed steel, and other metal with smooth contours and surfaces will serve as an ideal filling for interiors in high-tech, cosmo, modern or loft styles.
- Well-designed modules of light brown, beige and even white cabinets, cabinets with drawer tops, made of natural wood or laminated chipboard will create a stylish atmosphere in interiors of styles: eco, Scandinavian, Japanese, organic hygge.
- Dark colors, including wood, are suitable for organizing spaces according to projects in the following style directions: eco, classic, English, Italian, modern, close to classics.
Materials from which IKEA prepares furniture for wardrobes:
- strained glass;
- refined chipboard (chipboard), fibreboard;
- High quality ABS plastic.
It could be a wardrobe. But the developers of the IKEA brand always have unusual cabinets. Their modules can be rearranged, disassembled and reassembled, unfolded and folded. The Pax wardrobe with sections for hangers and shelves for jeans and T-shirts can be of several types:
- single, two-, three- and more sectional;
- angular and straight;
- with mezzanines, low, high to the ceiling;
- built into a niche;
- standing separately.
There are also very unusual solutions - cabinets that serve as support for the upper berth. These are low structures, on top of which there is a bed-bed with barrier railings to comply with safety standards, preventing accidental falls from a height. These models are especially suitable for children.
Contour designs are an interesting approach to saving space in rooms. An ensemble of wardrobes is installed on both sides of the bed and above its headboard. There is a wide field for design creativity here. You can even combine a small library with a wardrobe - books are placed on shelves above your head, and clothes are in sections on both sides of the bed.
Combining a Pax model wardrobe with shoe shelves is another option for creating a comfortable wardrobe.
Adding a small folding chest of drawers for small items to the built-in shoe rack will allow you to create universal furniture - a wardrobe with a chest of drawers and a dressing table. Especially if the top of the chest of drawers is also retractable. You can complement the project with a large mirror and lighting. Clothes furniture without doors from IKEA looks great in any classic interior.
Let's sum it up
The manufacturer Ikea is widely known among buyers around the world, because the company is famous for creating the most comfortable and stylish furniture that will fit perfectly into any interior. In addition, each kit comes with detailed instructions for assembling the parts, so you definitely can't go wrong when assembling the closet of your dreams.
In a special article, we will look at the advantages of sliding wardrobes, the main nuances of their installation, and give detailed instructions on how to independently assemble a spacious wardrobe for a small hallway.
Pax cabinets in the interior of the apartment
The variety of sizes, textures and wide range of colors of the minimalist style of Pax cabinets allows you to install them in any room of the apartment. Simple shapes and clear elements fit equally well into a strict classic interior and into modern solutions that are distinguished by originality.
Hallway
Most often, the Pax wardrobe for the corridor is ordered in darker colors (this is practical) and complemented with a mirror, but this is a matter of taste. Such furniture in the hallway is extremely useful. In a narrow closet you can compactly place outerwear, hats and shoes.
Living room
When choosing a Pax wardrobe for the living room, you should combine it with other furniture, walls and the general ambiance of the room. In the living room, both a wardrobe with hinged doors and a wardrobe with sliding doors will look equally good. Its internal configuration depends entirely on the individual needs of the owners.
Bedroom
In most cases, beige or white wardrobes are installed in the bedroom. Although brown cabinets in the rest room are no exception. As for the sizes, it is recommended to select the Pax so that, in addition to clothes, it can additionally accommodate bed linen and towels.
Children's
For a nursery, it is best to choose light beige, delicate shades of furniture. Although, if desired, you can place bright accents
Please note that the cabinet includes a large number of shelves and baskets. With their help, you can carefully place both clothes and numerous toys for storage in a closet.
By choosing a Pax wardrobe for his apartment, the owner acquires a beautiful and functional product. It will not only help free the room from “extra” things, but will also be an excellent addition to the interior.
PAX wardrobes from IKEA - reviews
Natashuka
Now the apartment has 4 PAX wardrobes with sliding doors.
2 black cabinets with fully mirrored sliding doors, 2 oak cabinets with mirror doors + veneer panels. With children, oak veneer turned out to be more practical) When assembling, my husband commented that the quality of the oak cabinets was better than just black ones (they were better processed, the shelves were neater and easier to stand up, but to me the smell was even different)
PAX under oak stood for 3.5 years and we moved them to the previous releases. There were no problems.
More! I completely forgot, closers. We bought them, then returned them to the store, and still didn’t understand why they were needed. The doors open and close easily and “close” themselves. Relatives have it, plus the small bracket cannot open the door right away - it’s hard to come off. But when children grow up, this no longer saves the closets from ruin)

Easy to assemble, roomy, inexpensive, there are different options for filling - you want shelves, a bar for hangers, drawers, baskets, shelves for shoes, hooks for clothes. And all this at an affordable price. If something is not useful, you can return it without any problems. Speaking of returns, I will classify this as a conditional wardrobe malfunction - be careful when purchasing. Check the documents: we asked for a frame with a depth of 38 cm. The consultant wrote out all the fillings for the cabinet at 38 cm and the frame at 60 cm. We didn’t check - we only saw it at home when we threw out the box and it was quickly grabbed for recycling by local homeless people. We thought we wouldn't return. We also purchased guides for wire pull-out baskets from the warehouse. One package was torn - there were no latches or fasteners. So watch everything carefully. I was upset, I wrote on the IKEA website. After 20 minutes, the store employees called back and VERY kindly offered to return everything even without packaging. Europe - what can I say. My husband really liked the hinges with closers. They cost 800 rubles per set for one swing door. There are four hinges and two closers. Easy to install and configure. The doors do not sag; they do not need to be adjusted. Closers are produced by the well-known company Bloom.
Among the disadvantages: the sliding wardrobes have very heavy doors, so they used hinged doors. Doors are expensive by the way. But! On the website the price may be 2500 and in the store 1700. So do not rush to be upset by the draconian prices on the website. Oh, and by the way, the back wall is very thin.
Overall, the cabinet is very decent, we are satisfied.

Advantages:
cabinets are like construction sets, very convenient!
Flaws:
No!
Many people criticize Paksa cabinets because the quality has dropped recently, but I am delighted with these cabinets. For the apartment, I chose a storage system for the children's room - two meter-long Paxes with a height of 2.36 and a depth of 37 cm. We placed them and fastened them together. In the left closet there are shelves in which we store clothes, and in the next closet there are pull-out baskets and hangers for outerwear. The storage capacity of the cabinets is excellent. In the bedroom we have a closet 60 cm deep for outerwear, which is convenient to hang on the crossbar. We chose swing doors for white frames - Bergsbu - one of the most budget-friendly. They look decent. Many people leave the drilled holes for shelves open - I supplemented them with Varrier plugs; in the future, if I want to change the filling of the cabinet, I will buy additional shelves.

Advantages:
You can choose all the internal equipment yourself
Flaws:
Not detected
The good thing about the wardrobe system is that you choose the “stuffing” yourself. By the way, this is very convenient. You can include LED lamps in the interior equipment, or you can refrain from this expensive idea. You can also choose the number of shelves and the distance between them yourself. You can also think about the shelves themselves, because there are pull-out grids, drawers, and simple shelves. I recommend that you take simple shelves, because mechanisms for sliding containers are expensive and the space for cleaning things is reduced. But this is your choice. You can choose doors and handles that match the furniture in your home. And you can take a frame that is not deep and deeper. You can take a frame for one door, or for two. In short, you choose ALL, absolutely ALL internal equipment. Good luck with your design.

Advantages:
price, style
Flaws:
In general, no, for the price everything is fine)
We decided to buy the cheapest PAX with a width of 35 cm (or what is the minimum? I already forgot, we bought it a long time ago), since our room is small. We thought about it for a long time, read a lot of bad reviews, but we still bought it - and we don’t regret it. The cabinet is good)) We took everything to the minimum - only shelves and retractable rods. It’s convenient to design your closet using the Ikea program; you can do everything the way you want. We made two sections of one meter each, the length of the cabinet was 230 something. A little short of the shelf. The instructions say to mount it to the wall so you can't move it. So you have to think a hundred times about where to put it)) Now we’re thinking about buying a third one and it’s cool, assemble the cabinet as much as you want))) We assembled the cabinet in two days ourselves, nothing complicated) However, to reach the upper rods you have to stand on a chair, but that’s okay, the main thing is that everything fits)

Advantages:

Flaws:
didn't find it
We made renovations and decided to change all the furniture, the closet is the most important item in the interior for a girl, this particular closet fit into our updated interior like it was native) I really initially wanted a different color, but it wasn’t there, but this color turned out to be not bad either. Spacious, comfortable, laconic design, so I’m satisfied and recommend it

- Your Ikea cabinet is the same as Mishka’s!
- I don't think so!
It is quite difficult to find absolutely identical PAX wardrobes, because everyone chooses the functionality, appearance, and cost for themselves. Adds something, removes something. Therefore, the price of a seemingly identical cabinet can vary greatly.
I always wanted to have a large, functional wardrobe, but for a long time we had an old, low Soviet wardrobe, with a clothes rail on one side and shelves on the other, and things weren’t very conveniently stored there. And every time we went to Ikea, I always just looked at the atmosphere of order and comfort in the store windows; the closets seemed especially comfortable, where every thing was in its place.
We bought a wardrobe in the summer of 2014. At the moment he is 3 years old, I am extremely happy with him!
The choice , by the way, is not very easy to make; the main points that you need to decide on before sitting down at the table with a consultant:
1. The color and size of the cabinet itself.
The height was adjusted to match the ceiling.
2. Type of doors (regular or compartment) and their design.
In our small room, a compartment is more convenient. Our doors are made of tempered white glass, maintenance is minimal: dirt does not stick, fingerprints are not noticeable, I am happy with them.
3. Filling . Rods, basket drawers, where they will be, as needed. That is, you need to immediately decide how you want to store things.
Clothes rails take up most of my wardrobe. It’s very convenient to store things this way, they don’t wrinkle and it’s always easy to find the right thing.
I also wanted drawers, not too deep, so that the drawer could be pulled out completely; these are suitable for storing linen and children's things.
Another option with retractable baskets was almost 2 times cheaper in price, but I was not satisfied. The drawers are located at the bottom.
Shelves have been added to the top. At the top of the shelf, seasonal items are stored in a box.
4. Details (all sorts of hangers for straps can be purchased later, but it’s better to decide on all this right away).
5. Backlight and its type. It’s so cool with it, you open the door and the light turns on itself and illuminates the entire closet inside, even the farthest corner. It’s very convenient, but some people buy it without it.
What I like about PAX wardrobes:
1. Chic appearance. The cabinet is beautiful, stylish, and will decorate any interior. The white tempered glass doors I chose freshen up the room.
2. Excellent quality, in three years I have become convinced of this.
I really like Ikea’s mechanisms for smoothly opening/closing doors and drawers: everything works very clearly: I pushed the door, and it closed completely on its own. Children use the cabinet, they don’t always do it carefully, and not always with their hands, but there have never been any malfunctions.
3. Convenience. I chose what I needed, what suited my needs. And it’s very convenient for me to keep my closet organized and keep things neat. At the same time, each item is very easy to get without touching others.
4. The closet is very roomy. We use it with the whole family. There is a lot of stuff, but everything can be placed comfortably.
Price. The cabinet was not cheap; the price at that time was about 48,000 rubles (this was when the dollar cost about 30 rubles). But the equipment was assembled, one might say the maximum.
I just needed a coupe. Most of the cost of the cabinet was the price of glass doors, wooden drawers and lighting. Therefore, if you replace the doors and do not take the above, the cost of the cabinet will be almost 2 times lower.
Delivery. We used the store's delivery services and the cabinet was delivered to us the next day. The components are very large and heavy, the weight indicated on the delivery note is 240 kg. At the same time, we took away the small parts ourselves immediately. The doors and sides are very bulky, so it’s more convenient to pay for delivery and lifting into the apartment.
The overall impressions of the delivery were the most pleasant: everything was clear, they called an hour in advance, they delivered it quickly and carefully, together they checked that everything was fine, and after that I signed for the delivery.
Assembly . My husband assembled the wardrobe himself. If you have good skills and experience in assembling furniture, then it will not be difficult, the instructions are very detailed. Sometimes I helped hold something, but you can’t hang doors alone.
Flaws:. For me there are none.
Among the relative disadvantages - the cabinet is very heavy, it was being renovated, it was difficult to move it.
Someone wrote that the cabinet could fall, we have it attached to the wall, like other furniture (racks, shelves), so I don’t see a problem at all. Special mounts are sold, and even the instructions say that they are needed, but apparently not everyone buys them!
At Ikea you can choose a wonderful wardrobe, one that suits you!
Of course I recommend it!
Thank you for your attention and happy shopping!

https://irecommend.ru/content/sistema-paks-funktsionalnyi-konstruktor-dlya-vzroslykh-dostoinstva-i-nedostatki-ranshe-i-tep
Several years ago, when we had a question about buying a wardrobe for our room, we considered various options on the market, from cheap to mid-price. As a result, we chose the PAX system from Ikea, having discovered the following advantages :
-Ability to choose the length of the cabinet (from half a meter to... as many as you need in increments of half a meter or 0.75m, if you choose a sliding wardrobe)
— Possibility of compiling the “filling” of the cabinet in accordance with preferences and needs.
— The ability to adjust the “filling” of the cabinet after purchase during the period of operation (Ikea has been on the market for a long time, it has been producing this system for quite a long time and at any time you can purchase the necessary internal elements of the cabinet)
-internal cabinet filling elements cover most of the necessary nuances for storing things
-there is a program on the IKEA website that makes it possible to visually design cabinets along with compiling a list of necessary components
— Ikea is a well-known large brand with already clear quality, the ability to resolve controversial situations (for example, return of defective goods, etc.). I would like to note that I do not consider the quality of Ikea products to be the best, but, in my opinion, some of the products (I won’t say about all of them, I haven’t used all of them) are optimal in terms of price-quality ratio.
-easy to assemble yourself, all parts are smooth and of the required shape, holes are in the right places, clear and simple assembly instructions.
Naturally, not everything is perfect in this system. The disadvantages include the following issues:
— PAX are good in their price range (I would characterize them as average), they are not offered in either the cheap or premium segment
-relatively small selection of exterior design
- self-assembly or to order for an additional fee. As I noted earlier, assembling furniture is quite simple, but not everyone wants to spend time on it, and not everyone will be able to overcome it. At one time, my husband was sincerely surprised who might need a furniture assembly service, it’s so easy to do it yourself... until I drew his attention to the fact that, for example, the cabinet doors are quite heavy, as a result of which, for example, I won’t be able to hang them myself.
-it takes time to study all the internal components and create your dream closet
We have been using this system for more than 6 years. At one time, we opted for opening doors (simply because I don’t like the idea of sliding wardrobes; purely outwardly, I don’t like sliding doors). During this time, we purchased additional internal elements several times, adjusting the storage space to meet the needs that arose. Until now, the doors hang perfectly, open/close perfectly, all the sliding elements work great, just like on the first day, sliding smoothly, etc. Very pleased with the quality and functionality. During this time we moved, the closet was completely disassembled (down to the individual walls) in order to fit into the elevator. Our PAX system survived the assembly/disassembly and relocation procedure perfectly. Therefore, when deciding which cabinet to buy for the children's room, the answer was clear - the PAX storage system. Particularly attractive is the convenience of adjusting the internal contents of the closet over time, which is important when you have a growing child whose needs are constantly changing. Having received the cabinet, we felt a little disappointed, as its visual quality had deteriorated (compared to six years ago): the chipboard looked looser, and when assembled in one place, it chipped. On the other hand, the price of a wardrobe has increased less than our economy has worsened overall, so it’s difficult to complain about this fact. This did not affect the functionality and reliability of the cabinet. And the chip happened on the inside of the wall, so it’s not visible and doesn’t interfere.
In general, I recommend this system to people who give preference to the functionality of the cabinet (versus its original appearance), as well as those who want to be the designer of its internal contents themselves.
Filling and components
The main components include the following elements.
- Prefabricated body. It will be present in free-standing cabinets. Typically, the body is made of wood or wood derivatives. With rare exceptions, you can find metal cases.
- Doors. They will also not be in all models, but only in those where they should be, based on the design. Doors can be sliding or hinged. More popular today are the so-called sliding doors, as they are less expensive in terms of space.
- Elements for fastening. Available in any set. Such parts include dowels, bolts, corners, etc.
- Various accessories. These can be loops, hooks and other small parts necessary in assembling furniture.
The great thing about IKEA cabinets is that they can be upgraded by adding different elements to them.
Closed models can also be modified and increased in size, but this will happen mainly due to the addition of the same closed small cabinets and bedside tables.
Other additional components are:
- Mesh baskets. This piece looks beautiful in modern cabinets. The convenience of using such a basket lies in the constant visibility of the contents in it. It is possible to always know exactly what is in this part of the closet. Another important feature is the ventilation of the laundry. If moisture gets into a closed box, mold may form. This will not happen in this basket.
- But it’s not only open cabinets without a frame that can be supplemented.
- There are models in which the buyer is given a free choice of what to put inside and in what quantity.
- For various racks, additional purchase of compartments will be relevant. If there is such an opportunity, then it is worth buying not with compartments, but with separate cells.
Types of wardrobe storage systems
Each of the cabinet options produced by Ikea has an individual design. It meets the principle that every thing should always be in its place. Some models from ikea are equipped with lighting. This saves you time when you need to find a specific item.
This is how a wardrobe system with built-in lighting looks harmonious.
"Algot"
This storage system is designed very conveniently, so anyone, using modules, can create a unique project entirely for their needs.
Algot is an ideal option for those who want to save as much free space in the room as possible.
The design is special in that it can be used even if space is limited. The component parts can be easily combined, among other things, they can be easily disassembled, so they can always be rearranged to another location.
Internal metal elements can withstand weight up to 60 kg. The structure itself is not heavy, so it can be assembled by one person. Installed on the floor and attached to the wall.
This design can be easily installed independently without the help of a specialist.
This system also includes other popular items - special baskets, modules for shoes, sliding pipes (allow you to organize additional space). They can be purchased separately.
Such systems can be installed in the dressing room. Thanks to the spacious baskets, you can store a lot of things there.
"Pax"
The wardrobes of this Pax model are designed in such a way that the clothes that are there are clearly visible and are always convenient to get. At the same time, things do not gather dust. Designed for all types of clothing: casual, festive, underwear.
Pax's comfortable and roomy wardrobe looks stylish, thanks to which it will fit perfectly into the interior.
You can put everything in such a closet. It is equipped with sections, so things are stacked neatly, and everything is easy to find when needed.
An option for a wardrobe system with sliding doors will help protect things from dust and prying eyes.
It is possible to design up to 8 cabinet sizes. Doors within this series are offered in two variations: hinged and sliding. The color scheme of the furniture is presented in 30 varieties. This allows it to fit into any interior.
NOTE! If you have limited space, we recommend choosing a wardrobe.
"Ophus"
The system is suitable for rooms of any size, even small ones. With it, it is also possible to use the space under the stairs, the design is so mobile and perfectly transformable. The assembled width is 3.5 m, however, such a system can always be strengthened with additional modules.
The Ophus wardrobe system looks ideal not only under the stairs, but also against a flat wall.
Ophusa cabinets have comfortable, easily adjustable legs. If the floor in the room is uneven, the design will be especially convenient to use.
The transforming model is modified in a matter of minutes, and you can do it yourself. For example, a closet can be quickly turned into a nightstand. The system is completed with wall fasteners.
This is how harmonious this design looks in the corner of the room.
"Stallman"
The wardrobe room range is made in white. It is equipped with adjustable stands: with their help, it is practical to fill the voids in the room between the floor and the ceiling. The length of the assembled structure is more than 3 m.
A stylish and spacious wardrobe in which you can easily fit all your things.
Inside there is a chest of drawers (pulls out on guides), convenient shelves, drawers, and other fittings. If necessary, the modules can be easily placed in the corner, saving space.
The built-in chest of drawers is an ideal place to store underwear and bed linen.
Mobile wardrobe systems
When renting a home or if you are planning to move soon, opt for the IKEA PS and Brame (textile cabinet) models.
The Brame wardrobe system is incredibly light and comfortable. It can be assembled and disassembled very quickly.
Such designs are attractive and have an extraordinary design. And the main advantage is that they are easy to transport and assemble. Moreover, the shelves can easily support weights of up to forty kilograms.
When installing the structure, everyone will be able to choose a convenient arrangement of sections.
Frame sizes
Although IKEA claims that this wardrobe system allows you to assemble a wardrobe for almost any room, the size and capabilities of PAX are still limited.
In the catalog you can choose only 2 types of height and 2 depths:
- Height: 201 or 236 cm;
- Depth: 35 or 58 cm.
Narrow cabinet with a depth of 35 cm
Full size, frame depth 68 cm
The width is also not so simple. There are only three standards:
- 50 cm;
- 75 cm;
- 100 cm.
Basic parameters of Pax wardrobes
The height of the cabinets is 201 or 236 cm, this option fits perfectly into the dimensions of a standard city apartment. The depth can also be chosen from two options: 35 cm from the back wall to the doors or 58 cm. It should be taken into account that hinged doors increase the depth by another 2 cm, and sliding doors by 8 cm.

Pax wardrobe with two compartments
The first option (35 cm) is intended for small and narrow rooms: corridor, hallway, loggia. On small shelves, jeans, sweaters, T-shirts, drawers for linen and several long items of clothing, such as a dress, suit or coat, will fit in one row. Due to lack of space, the hanger bar is not located along the frame, but across it - from the back wall to the doors. The second option, a cabinet with a depth of 58 cm, takes up more space, but is also more spacious.

The length of one cabinet compartment can be 50, 75 or 100 cm. The number of sections is unlimited, so customers can easily choose the optimal size. The length of the finished wardrobe is always a multiple of 50, for example, 50 cm, 100 cm, 150 cm, 200 cm and so on.

Internal filling
The interior arrangement and organization of storage is a separate delight. For this I am ready to endlessly praise IKEA.
Everything is thought out to the smallest detail:
- shelves can be installed at any height convenient for you;
- built-in lighting (to get dressed normally, you don’t need to turn on the lights in the entire room and wake up your household, this is super humane in relation to the husband sleeping in the room, who gets up for work an hour or two later);
- clothes rails (stationary and retractable);
- retractable trouser hangers,
- pull-out shelves for shoes;
- retractable baskets;
- boxes, hanging bags;
- drawers and drawers;
- and much, much more.
This is simply paradise for those who love order and functionality!
Design options
For sliding doors, the catalog offers the following facade options:
- white: matte or glossy;
- frosted glass;
- beige gloss;
- light gray gloss;
- white with a white strip design;
- bleached oak;
- dark frosted glass;
- dark bamboo;
- white textured;
- mirrored
The sliding door frame can be composed of different facades, because... its parts are sold separately.
Mesh modules
The steel mesh construction set is a fairly versatile type. It is presented in the form of a supporting rail, which is horizontally screwed to the wall. Guide rails are fixed to it, to which, in turn, brackets are attached. Hangers, shelves, and baskets are placed on them. The length and configuration of the slats depends on what elements are used.
The advantage of this wardrobe system is its convenience, the compactness of the assembled sections, because any individual module can be attached and dismantled as needed. These honeycomb modules are distinguished by their stability; it is noted that the guide has the ability to withstand a load of 300 kg.
Their other advantages include:
- ease of design;
- no need for a long search for the right thing;
- excellent air circulation through the cells.
Filling for wardrobes and cabinets: possible options
Ikea designer wardrobes are especially popular due to their excellent performance. They are presented in a variety of design solutions, and each has its own advantages. The structures are divided into the following types.
Large and functional dressing room with built-in chest of drawers and many shelves.
Panel
Its components are decorative panels to which storage parts are attached. The supporting part is rigidly fixed to the wall. Such systems do not have side dividers, they do not have a ceiling or floor.
The panel system will fit perfectly not only in a small room, but also in large rooms.
In panel complexes, in addition to the storage function, there is another useful functionality: they will help hide possible flaws on the walls, parts of the structure move or you can change them in places, depending on the need.
Another option for a panel design on a beige background.
Housing-filling system
The body-filling system is a kind of modular design, consists of sections, has walls - top, bottom and sides. The sections are located along the walls of the room, close to them, secured with ties and a single complex is obtained. The filling is made to order, according to certain sizes. In this case, laminated chipboards are used.
For a reasonable price you can purchase a very comfortable and spacious wardrobe.
The advantages of such systems are optimal cost, a wide selection of colors and attractive appearance.
The corner version of the body-filling system is an excellent option for placing the belongings of all family members.
Cellular system
The honeycomb system is steel modules with meshes; the design on rails is a universal variety among similar storage complexes.
A stylish and spacious wardrobe in which, in addition to things, you can store small household items.
The carrier rail is screwed to the wall in a horizontal position, guide rails are attached to it, and brackets are fixed to them. You can place hangers, shelves, baskets there. The system is stable: one guide holds a load of up to three hundred kilograms.
Frame-complex
Structurally, these are metal racks that are mounted side by side between the floor, ceiling and walls. At the required height, the components of this wardrobe system are installed to the guides: holders, rods. Their number depends on the number of containers intended for storage.
If you decide to allocate a separate room for a wardrobe, then the frame complex will be a convenient option for its design.
The advantages of such complexes are ease of assembly, excellent ventilation of the things placed in them, as well as the ability to move components.
Color solutions
Pax cabinets are presented in a wide range of colors; the frame color can be not only white, black and brown or untreated pine, but also steel, gray, or treated wood. Particular attention should be paid to the color of the cabinet doors: a large assortment allows you to create more than 40 combinations from the classic monochromatic option to a colored one for a child’s room.
The doors are available in primary colors: glossy white, black-brown, light beige, blue, black, oak, ash, gray-green, bleached oak, dark gray.
Separately, it is worth noting the multi-colored options, such as white striped or small floral patterns. It will not be possible to get acquainted with all the color options in the catalog; for this it is better to download the designer, where they are presented in full.
How to assemble?
The storage system is assembled independently according to the instructions. It is included with each cabinet model and can also be downloaded for free on the model’s website. The assembly instructions follow the company's concept - minimum text, maximum clear pictures. From them, the buyer will learn what tools he will need and the procedure for assembling the structure.
Assembly and installation of the cabinet is carried out with four hands (invite a friend to help), it is better to put fabric under the furniture, it is forbidden to stand with your feet on the frame slabs.
The assembly should begin by determining the height of the room in relation to the height of the cabinet. To raise the cabinet into a vertical position, it is necessary that there be a space of at least 50 cm between its height and the height of the ceiling. If there is no such gap, then the assembly is carried out in a vertical position. To do this, the side wall of the cabinet is pressed against the wall, and all parts are supported by weight. A support is placed under the lower part of the frame.
The manufacturer warns that all cabinet models must be mounted to the wall. To do this, the package includes the required number of fasteners; the consumer purchases screws and screws separately in accordance with the type of his walls. All sections of the Pax wardrobe must be bolted together.
A clamp must be used to hold the modules together.

Important point! If you have limited space, it is recommended to choose a wardrobe. After all, there is free space in front of the door that can be used for other purposes, while there should be no obstacles in front of the swing doors.
In total, the catalog contains thirty possible color options for furniture, so such products will fit perfectly into almost any interior.
You can choose modules of different colors
Inside this wardrobe system there are various compartments, baskets, and other auxiliary elements in order to conveniently place both outerwear and any small accessories.

"Algot"
The Algot wardrobe system has design features that allow it to be used even with limited space.
It is worth highlighting its other advantages:
- high quality materials - all internal metal elements can withstand loads of up to 60 kilograms (depending on dimensions);
- the components can be easily combined with each other, in addition, they can be disassembled and rearranged to any location;
- All structural elements are quite easy to care for - just wipe them with a damp cloth, which is why such cabinets are often chosen for hallways and children's rooms;
- the entire structure is lightweight, and the cabinets can be assembled even by one person;
- if necessary, you can at any time purchase various auxiliary elements (bars, baskets) and expand the working area of the room;
- Algot wardrobe elements are installed not only on the floor, but also on the wall;
- The kit includes detailed instructions that describe various assembly options.
Elements of the Algot system
It is worth noting that this is not a complete list of the positive aspects of a wardrobe system of this type. After all, these functional items are suitable for furnishing various types of premises, including a dressing room and bedroom.
In some cases, in order to save free space, they prefer to occupy only the walls with wardrobe system modules, leaving the floor free. In order to implement such an idea you will need:
- metal tires of different sizes (install them in a vertical position using self-tapping screws);
- holders for shelves that are fixed to the slats;
- shelves of various sizes, which can be metal or chipboard. You should choose one option or another based on what things you plan to store in this closet.
Schematic representation of the wardrobe system
Among the elements that are installed on the floor, it is worth highlighting the following:

This system also includes other, no less popular items that can be purchased separately:
- baskets made of mesh and wire (ready-made options are available with mounting on a bar);
- trouser hangers;
- sliding pipes, which are used to organize additional storage space for things on hangers (can be extended up to 60 centimeters);

"Stallman"
This is another ergonomic wardrobe system from Ikea, which allows you to better organize the space of a large and small room. When assembled, the length of the entire structure can be from 210 to 330 centimeters.
The basis of the wardrobe is a stand that can be installed to the wall or to the ceiling. It consists of two pipes, one of which can be moved apart to a certain distance.
The following items can be attached to this rack:
- hanger rods;
- inclined shelves for shoes that can be adjusted;
- shelves for standard clothes;
- module with mirror door.
Using special fittings, you can fix these shelves at any desired height.
In addition, a wardrobe system of this type requires the presence of chests of drawers. They are narrow drawers that quickly slide out on guides. At the same time, stoppers are provided to prevent the boxes from crashing into the rear wall of the structure.
Some people may think that such a wardrobe is only suitable for large rooms, but this is not at all true. If necessary, you can place these modules in the corner, and light-colored furniture does not look bulky, and at the same time makes it possible to store any things in plain sight.
Option for placing the “Stallman” wardrobe in the corner
If you have the opportunity to allocate a room for a wardrobe system, then in addition to standard racks, you can install shelves for clothes and shoes, top drawers and much more.
It is worth noting that all modules of the Stolmen wardrobe have a universal snow-white color, so such wardrobes can be used in any type of interior.
"Ophus"
The Ophus module system is perfect for rooms of any size, including very small ones. Thanks to the presence of such cabinets, you can better arrange the interior of a bedroom, dressing room, hallway, hall, or use the space under the stairs.
The design is multifunctional
Any free area can be used from a functional point of view thanks to this ergonomic system. So, when assembled, the wardrobe can have a width from 60 to 340 centimeters, but if necessary, you can always purchase several additional modules.
The cabinets of this system have comfortable legs that can be adjusted. This feature is best suited for uneven floors. The system comes with wall fasteners, but screws and dowels will have to be purchased separately.

Reviews about quality
It is practically impossible to find negative reviews about this storage system on the Internet. Even if there are some complaints about the cabinets, they are offset by the convenience of modeling any space inside. 95% of users note that the cabinet fits perfectly into any design, from Asian to ultra-modern.
Everyone, as one, says that assembling furniture is simple, there are enough instructions, but if you don’t have 5-6 hours to spare for assembly, then it’s better to call a specialist, he will do it twice as fast.
Particular emphasis in the reviews is placed on the assembly of mirrored doors, which are very massive and heavy. Before hanging doors, customers recommend screwing the cabinet to the wall to prevent it from falling. Judging by the experience of many users, it is not worth ordering completely mirrored doors. When opening, your fingers touch the glass and unsightly fingerprints remain on it, which you have to wipe off several times a day.
How to choose?
Before purchasing, decide how much space you are going to allocate for the closet. Measure the available space to determine the appropriate size for the product. Don't forget to take into account the height of the ceiling.
First of all, it is important to choose the type of cabinet doors. The decision should not depend solely on personal taste. Consider whether the doors will open easily in the allocated space, and whether something will interfere with them. The internal filling should be chosen based on what items will be stored in the wardrobe.
The external design of the selected model should be in harmony with the interior. It is necessary to take into account the color scheme of the walls and floor, the design of other furniture, and the dimensions of the room. Remember that light colors and mirror elements expand the space.
A wardrobe with a full-length mirror will also serve a practical function, which is especially important for the hallway.
