Customer Reviews

To be honest, the purchase of the Eurocase was spontaneous. One day, after watching an advertisement, I wanted a change. Cheap, fast and beautiful.

Alexey, 48 years old

In connection with the purchase of an apartment, significant financial difficulties arose and all the furniture was transported to a new place of residence. The construction of the old sofa was good and strong, but the stains due to the long period of use were no longer possible to wash off. There was no talk of buying a new sofa; there was simply no money for it. A friend advised me to buy a Eurocase, for which I am sincerely grateful to her. We spent several thousand, but the sofa looks like new.

Larisa, 42 years old

We bought a eurocover after the cat Marusya appeared in our family. The kitten's curiosity and energy raised serious concerns regarding the future fate of the furniture and curtains. The sofa will definitely be saved, since the Euro-cover does not allow her claws to reach the surface of the furniture. This made the sofa look even better.

How to put a Euro-cover on a straight sofa

The elastic product easily takes any shape and is easy to put on, going through several steps in succession:

  1. Move the sofa away from the wall so that it can be accessed from all sides.
  2. Determine the front part of the cover by the grooves for the armrests (if present, if not, proceed to step 3).
  3. Find the label on the inside. Lay out the cover so that the label located on the inside of the product is located in the middle of the back of the sofa at the back.
  4. Stretch the product evenly over the back, align the bottom of the cover along the entire perimeter of the sofa. Straighten the fabric on the armrests from the edge to the back and secure.
  5. Smooth out the material of the cover so that there are no wrinkles or distortion of the design. Carefully tuck seams and excess fabric between the armrests and the seat, between the seat and the back along the entire length. The accessory should cover the sofa evenly on all sides so that individual parts of the furniture are not visible.
  6. Secure the cover using a stretch fastener: hook it at the bottom of the cover from the front side in the middle, thread it under the sofa and fix it on the back side of the back.

The cape is finally smoothed out, repeating the shape of the sofa. If necessary, we use pipe clamps.

Calculation

A corner sofa has a complex shape, which usually seriously complicates the calculation of the required amount of fabric. To more or less correctly estimate how much textiles you will need, add its width to the length of the furniture and multiply the result by two.

To make accurate calculations, it is necessary to divide the piece of furniture in question into separate straight sections. For a standard corner option, you will have to buy at least 8 linear meters of fabric with a width of 150 cm. As you can see, the piece turns out to be a fair one. If we are talking about expensive options, then you will have to spend quite a lot.

Don’t take risks and give up striped textiles, here all the parts are sewn in one direction, and, accordingly, the consumption increases.

How to put a Euro-cover on a corner sofa

The elastic fabric of the Eurocover makes it quite easy to put it on corner-shaped furniture. The principle of putting it on a classic corner sofa is the same (see the next video) as on a straight one.

But there are slight differences between models with a shelf and those with ledges on the left or right.

With projection right/left

The algorithm for putting a Euro-cover on a sofa with a protrusion on the left or right is the same:

  1. Provide access to furniture from all sides.
  2. Determine the top and bottom parts and lay the cover on the sofa.
  3. They begin to put on the cover from the ledge, focusing on the label, which should be located in the front in the middle. Then put the product on the armrest from the side of the ledge and spread it over the entire back of the sofa, fixing it on the armrest on the other side of the ledge.
  4. Stretch the material, level the bottom of the cape and cover all visible parts of the furniture, smooth the fabric with your palms so that there are no folds or unevenness. Excess fabric at both armrests, between the seat and the back of the sofa must be tucked inside. Tuck the fabric in from the inside of the protrusion as well.

Secure the accessory using stretch fasteners. Pass them under the sofa and hook them in the front at the bottom of the cover in the middle and on the back side of the back.

With shelf

If you have a sofa with a wooden shelf, then you can easily update it with the help of a Euro-cover. For such models, before covering the furniture with a new accessory, the shelf must be unscrewed and removed. Then, according to the already known sequence:

  • spread out;
  • dress around the entire perimeter;
  • smooth out carefully;
  • secure.

After fixing the cover, screw the shelf into its original place.

Putting on algorithm

There are two main types of accessories: a cape and a Euro-case. There will be no problems with the first product - just tuck the middle along the seat and back, then straighten it around the perimeter. Putting a Euro-cover on a sofa is more difficult. Good quality products are sold in original packaging with the name of the manufacturer's company and a description of the material. They also have instructions that describe how to put a cover on the sofa.

It is better to put the accessory on together, including on a corner sofa, since one person will not be able to put on the Euro cover correctly in a short time. It is necessary to avoid distortion, the stretching of the product should be uniform. Detailed instructions for those who do not know how to put a Euro-cover on a corner sofa:

  1. First you need to unpack the product, then straighten it. The kit should include a seal, which also needs to be removed.
  2. Determine the sides of the cover and place it on the furniture.
  3. Approximately mark the center of the product.
  4. Before putting the cover on the sofa, stretch its edges to the sides, covering the furniture.
  5. Secure the corners to the back with fasteners or elastic.
  6. Pull the cover over the furniture seat and align the corners.
  7. Straighten the elastic band at the bottom and tie it to the leg of the sofa.
  8. Straighten the cover so that the seam lines coincide with the edges of the furniture.
  9. Place foam rubber seals on the fold of the backrest and seat. Place one at a time inside, this will tighten the cover and secure it in place.

Before putting a cover on a corner sofa, the furniture is first moved away from the wall. This makes the job much easier. In order for the accessory to “fit” successfully, you need to select not only the right style, but also know the dimensions of the furniture.

Modern covers for upholstered furniture have many advantages. Some use them to hide old and worn sofas, others use them as protection from pets and other harmful influences. In this article we will look at how to properly put such a product on a sofa.

There are 3 main types of covers available for various sofa models:

The model of the protective cape is determined based on the size of the sofa.

There is also the option of covers for sofas without armrests, but they are much less common. When purchasing a cover for a corner model, it is important to consider how the sofa is structurally designed—whether it is right-handed or left-handed.

Question of price

Today, manufacturers offer a huge range of European covers , the cost of which can vary greatly. The price of the product is affected by:

  • material of manufacture;
  • sofa dimensions;
  • complexity of cutting and sewing.

The simplest and most budget-friendly models are covers for sofas without armrests. Products for corner furniture are considered the most expensive. Such options can be decorated with frills and ruffles. The greater the number of such decorations , the higher the cost of the product. On average, the cost increases by 1,500 rubles. Jacquard covers have the highest price.

The cost breakdown is as follows:

  • double rooms - from 6,000 rubles;
  • full-size standard - from 7,500 rubles;
  • corner - from 11,000 to 20,000 rubles.

When purchasing, it is recommended to inspect the product for defects and defects, and read the quality certificate for the product. At the moment, the undoubted leader in the production of European covers is still the Beelastico brand.

Step-by-step instruction

This accessory is best pulled together by two people. This applies to any sofas. It will be quite difficult for one person to put on the cover correctly and quickly. When putting on, avoid distortions and uneven stretching. To put the product on the sofa, you will need to perform certain manipulations.

  • Take measurements of the sofa. Using any measuring device, determine the length and width of the sofa itself, and you will also need the length and width of the armrests. These measurements will be useful in determining the sizing chart for the cape. Manufacturers quite often offer ready-made kits for some models. Sometimes these covers may match your sizes, otherwise you can choose a universal or one-size option.
  • If you have doubts about the dimensions, then it is better to take a slightly larger model , since a small product most likely will not be able to be pulled onto the sofa. In addition, you will need to carry out a visual inspection for damage and the elasticity of the elastic bands (if any are present on this model).
  • The next step is to put a protective cover on the sofa. Wrap upholstered furniture in a cover so that the edges of the cover hang down to the floor. The armrests should also be wrapped. Excess material can be tucked under the armrests and seat. Some manufacturers include detailed instructions with their product on how to properly put on the case. If your kit contains such a document, then it is best to do the work according to it.

Choosing a detergent for washing a sofa cover in Perm

The choice of detergent for a sofa cover is very wide; you can use either a simple washing powder or a concentrated gel, it all depends on your preferences. But, from experience, we can say that Ariel and Persil washing powders are the best for dealing with any stains when washing a sofa cover. They effectively soften stains, abrasions and grime, removing them almost without a trace, while rinsing perfectly! If the case is very dirty, then you can add a portion of bleach (if this does not contradict the tag on the case), this will allow you to remove even stubborn stains as much as possible.

Washing powder for washing sofa covers

At your discretion, if during operation of the cover it tends to become electrified, then you can add Lenor or Vernel fabric softener. By using them you will reduce the likelihood of static electricity being collected by the sofa cover during drying.

Treating a sofa cover with Vanish stain remover

If your sofa cover has stains, they can be treated with Vanish stain remover. It will gently soften dirt between the threads of the fabric and allow them to be safely removed. Wearing gloves, apply a portion of Vanish using a sponge or brush to all stains (in severe stains, it makes sense to rub in the stain remover with slight pressure) and wait 5-15 minutes for the product to react with all stains.

How to secure?

When the cover has already been put on the sofa, it needs to be secured. First you need to straighten out all the unevenness of the material with your hands. Due to the presence of a tightening elastic band, the upper and lower parts of the cape will tuck in independently. After this, a void will form between the seat and the back, which will not look very nice. This will have to be fixed using special fasteners, which should come with the case.

The fixing elements are inserted between the back and the seat on top of the cover. Such clamps are placed at all points of connection between the seat and the backrest.

When inserting the fixing elements, push them as deep as possible, then the cover will not pop out, and sufficient tension will be given to the material. In this case, it is possible to create an aesthetic appearance of the product.

The best manufacturers

A famous European manufacturer that has been producing cases since the 60s is the Italian company Ga.i.Co. In Russia, the products of this company are presented under the Eurocase brand. The company specializes in the production of exclusive capes and quilted bedspreads. The factory's collections are developed and created exclusively in Italy, in Bergamo.

Another well-known company is Nueva Textura. This is a Spanish company that offers a variety of European covers. Among the advantages of its products, Nueva Textura notes an ideal fit, softness and density, and a large selection of shades.

  • the ability to quickly protect the sofa cover;
  • low cost;

  • elasticity and good shape retention;
  • versatility, possibility of use for various models of furniture ;
  • ease of use and care;
  • resistance to pollution and environmental factors;
  • hygiene and safety for people and animals.

The purchase of a Euro-cover is often associated with the need to protect furniture for a certain period of time when animals appear in the house or a child is born. This cover allows you to provide a barrier, preventing the appearance of scratches, chips, dirt, and puffs.

The cost of some furniture models can reach hundreds of thousands, and the purchase of additional protection will require minor financial costs from the owner. If necessary, you can always throw away such a cover and buy a new one.

Buying a sofa for many is considered a special event and the lifespan of such an item is more than one year. Often there is a need to change a sofa due to damage to the upholstery or lack of harmony with the new interior. Reupholstering a sofa always involves significant costs and the need to completely disassemble the furniture. Buying a Euro-cover in this case is the most budget-friendly option to solve the problem.

A significant advantage of modern European covers is their long service life, which with proper care is at least 5 years.

Types of cases

On sale you can find European covers for straight, island, and corner sofas. When choosing or ordering the latter, it is important to keep in mind which side the protrusion is on - if you make a mistake, the product simply will not fit on the furniture. There are universal Euro-cases and options created for specific structural sizes:

  • for corner sofas that have an “L” or “U” shape, products with elastic are suitable;
  • for straight standard and island types of upholstered furniture, universal covers are purchased;
  • There are special models for sofas with left- and right-hand projections, as well as ottomans;
  • For 2 and 3-seater furniture, you can choose straight styles with a skirt at the bottom.

The easiest way is to choose a sofa cover of regular sizes. If the upholstered furniture is non-standard, and ready-made styles are not suitable, you can sew it to order. In this case, it is necessary to indicate the required dimensions, as well as the correct location of the angle.

Modern high-quality European covers tend to absorb unpleasant odors from old furniture.

Euro-covers and covers for upholstered furniture are in demand among consumers, as they have many advantages:

  • ready-made options can be selected to suit any parameters of sofas or armchairs;
  • materials that do not cause an allergic reaction are used;
  • the fabric can be impregnated with special substances that protect furniture from moisture;
  • ease of use: putting on and taking off the cover from the sofa is very easy;
  • easy to clean from dirt;
  • They have a varied palette of colors and patterns.

Thanks to the unique method of fabric manufacturing, the use of thin rubber threads, the cover can easily stretch and take the shape of a sofa. If it ignites, a self-extinguishing effect will occur due to the unique fire-resistant properties of the material.

The following materials are mainly used for manufacturing:

  • jacquard – has a beautiful appearance, high wear resistance, strength, and is easy to care for;
  • polyester - used for inexpensive items, the quality leaves much to be desired, so the service life of such material is short;
  • pleated – chosen by users who have pets, this type of material is not afraid of claws;
  • chenille - preferred by lovers of soft fabrics. Does not form pellets, bald patches, does not collect dust;
  • microfiber – has high elasticity, the fabric is used in the manufacture of universal covers.

Each type of material has its own characteristics and features. Therefore, when choosing, you need to take into account design ideas, as well as your own preferences. It is important to remember - the more cotton there is in furniture fabric, the more pleasant it is to use.

Colors

The color palette of sofa accessories-covers is multifaceted. Usually it is subject to the specific chosen style: accessories are purchased to match the tone of the wallpaper, desk, table lamp shade, color of curtains or other interior items.

Most buyers are focused on practicality, so white or creamy white is not very popular today. Manufacturers take into account the opinions of customers, offering them a wide range of shades - from neutral to rich. The only thing that is unacceptable is flashy tones: they are not in the lines, because poisonous colors can destroy any design idea.

Conventionally, the color palette is divided into monochromatic, strict shades and more “live”, patterned ones. Those people who prefer classics and minimalism choose European covers in light gray, chocolate, blue, sand, lemon, and burgundy shades. Popular accessories include models in olive, beige, blue-gray, mint, and terracotta colors. Orange, coral, and diluted coffee tones are also relevant.

Connoisseurs of printed textiles have their own preferences: often their choice is on accessories made in black and white, beige and gold, burgundy-cream, marsh pink, beige-brown-white, lilac-violet and other contrasts.

Size selection features

To purchase the optimal size cover, you need to measure the furniture itself. When choosing a product, sellers may claim that it is suitable for all sizes, but this is not the case, because the parameters of a small and large sofa are significantly different. The material, although elastic, can quickly tear if over-tensioned.

Euro covers can be machine washed at low temperature. This will preserve the appearance of the product.

In order to determine the required size of cover for a straight sofa, you need to measure its back. If the measurements are no more than 160 cm, you should choose a double option, if about 240 cm, then a three-seater option. If the obtained dimensions are not enough, you need to determine the distance from the floor to the sofa seat, its depth, and the length of the armrests.

The table shows the main dimensions typical for different types of furniture.

Type of furnitureBack width, (cm)Armrest length, (cm)Seat height from floor, (cm)Seat depth, (cm)
Armchair85-10560-8045-5045-55
Sofa 2-seater145-18560-8045-5045-55
Sofa 3-seater185-23560-8045-5045-55

Before choosing a cover for a corner sofa, determine the size of the back of the structure - it can be from 380 to 550 cm. The main part is also measured. This accessory should be easy to pull on and fit snugly. When purchasing, it is important to know which side the ledges or ottomans are on.

When choosing a furniture accessory, you need to consider not only its size. The cover should have an attractive appearance, including a color that matches the interior of the room. Basic recommendations:

  • if there are small children in the house, it is advisable to choose non-staining colors;
  • light colors refresh the room;
  • bright color will bring energy to the interior.

A cover with a pattern is suitable for standard sofas. Solid colors will look good on voluminous furniture. When using a Euro-cover on a sofa, it is necessary to properly care for it. Considering that the manufacturing material is resistant to negative factors, this will not be difficult.

To avoid harm, you must follow the cleaning instructions provided by the manufacturer. Basically, care consists of the following actions:

  • When washing, you need to turn the product inside out;
  • wash separately from other items, on a delicate cycle;
  • the use of bleaches or other similar products is prohibited;
  • European covers cannot be ironed;
  • Drying should be done at room temperature.

Such simple methods will provide reliable and long-term protection of furniture from premature wear and contamination. When choosing and during operation of a Eurocover, it is recommended to take into account all the above factors. In this case, a truly useful and practical item will appear in the room that will fit perfectly into the interior.

What is the secret of universal coverage?

Euro-covers are endowed with high elasticity due to the use of thin rubber threads in the production of textiles, as well as a special, patented manufacturing technology. Thanks to its ability to stretch in any direction, the fabric can easily be stretched onto structures of various shapes, being significantly smaller in size. Moreover, when the coating is removed, it will not be deformed, but will take on its previous appearance.

To purchase a cover, you just need to determine the length of the back of the sofa (as shown in the figure) and take into account the degree of stretchability of the material.

Dimensions and dimensions

Some recommendations for caring for the coating:

  • textiles are washed in a machine on a gentle cycle, at a temperature not exceeding 40 degrees (for different types of fabric this figure can vary from 30 to 60 degrees, you must study the manufacturer’s instructions);
  • The cover is loaded into the machine inside out;

    Textiles are washed in a machine

  • Clean products are spun at minimum speed (it is recommended to do without it at all);
  • Do not use bleaches when washing;
  • Euro covers are dried at room temperature.

    Drying the cover

Design

The covers are decorated according to the taste of the owners and based on the style of the decor. They can be decorated with bows, lace, zippers, buttons, rhinestones, and beads. But sometimes the cover itself becomes a decoration in the interior, for example, a product with a 3D image or with a mother-of-pearl sheen visually enlarges the chair and makes it an accent among other types of furniture.

To support the design of the room, it is necessary to choose stylized covers for upholstered furniture.

Provence

French country style coverings should be bleached, like faded textiles from grandma's chests. They can have smooth pastel colors or a delicate floral print. Provence loves frills, lace, bows and other decorations.

Minimalism

For minimalism, simple covers with a smooth texture that completely follow the shape of the chair are suitable. They cover all the details of upholstered furniture so much that you don’t immediately understand the presence of the cover itself.

Minimalism

The chair and its protective covering in this style are extremely simple and do not have any special decor. Rough fabric of red or brick color goes well with brickwork, which is usually introduced into such interiors. The only decoration can be considered large zippers, with the help of which the product is removed or put on the chair.

Baroque

Armchairs in the Baroque style are themselves decorated and elaborate, have a complex shape and are decorated with carvings. To put a usual cover on them means to hide all the beauty that they strive to convey. Therefore, for armchairs in the Baroque style, small overhead bedspreads are sewn from expensive fabrics, decorated with buboes, rhinestones and other glitter.

Classicism

A case in a classic style should look rich, but discreet, without ostentation. Often, when decorating an interior, they resort to using identical textiles on covers, curtains or bedspreads.

Pop Art

Owners often create beautiful and colorful coatings for pop art with their own hands.

Results

A cover for a corner sofa is a universal and practical protection, easy to care for and use. It will not only stand in the way of dirt, stains and deformations of the surface of the product, but will also give the room a new look, become an original design, and complement the existing design. A sofa “dressed” in a cover will last longer and will maintain a presentable appearance for many years.
