DIY bottle decor: 80 photos of ideas for decorating a bottle

Alcohol has always been a universal gift for men. It is given as a gift for any occasion, but such a gift is faceless and banal. Do-it-yourself bottle decor for a man will help make it unique. After all, the stronger sex often pays more attention to the packaging than to the contents.

There are several ways to package a bottle beautifully. Some design methods require certain skills and dexterity, while others can be mastered even by a child. The main thing when decorating is to really evaluate your creative capabilities and not try to take on too complicated master classes.

What you need for decoration

So where to start? You should choose accessories for decoration based on the size, shape and presence of inscriptions on the “experimental”. First, treat the bottle with alcohol or nail polish remover.

Afterwards you will need acrylic paints, napkins with beautiful patterns and various ribbons, beads, even cereals will do. Stock up on PVA glue in advance. To fix the work, you need acrylic varnish.

Decor of bottles with salt

You will need fine salt and crayons (you can use paints) of different colors. Salt is repainted in a certain color using crayons. In this way a mixture of different colors is obtained. Next, salt is poured into the bottle one by one.

It is important not to move the bottle or allow the colors to mix. It turns out to be a rainbow-colored piece of the room’s interior.

Eggshell decor

The shell is often used in decoration; it creates irregularities and adds sophistication to a seemingly ordinary shell. You can glue it with PVA glue, but you shouldn’t be sorry, otherwise the whole picture will deteriorate and the shells will fall off. It is better to use hot glue or construction adhesive. Unusual shimmers are created with a brush and pearlescent paint.

Safety precautions

The design of pop requires compliance with the following rules:

  • carefully examine the glass of the vessel - there should not be the slightest flaw on it. Otherwise, the container is not suitable for decoration;
  • do not expose the drink to sudden temperature changes;
  • Do not shake the vessel during operation under any circumstances.

Remember! Even strict adherence to safety rules does not guarantee against accidents. Therefore, do not decorate sparkling wine with children.

Unusual items at work

A metal pendant will create an interesting pattern. After dipping the pendant in paint, lay out a spiral on the bottle. Then they slowly pull out the iron and get a pattern that resembles a tree. You can do this twice, for example, white and pink, and then draw tree branches, draw a bullfinch or another bird.

They use old wires, electrical tape, and broken balloons. All this is decorated. Mini-pictures are made from wire, electrical tape is used as recycled material, and bottles are covered with rubber from balls, creating amazing surfaces.

The main feature here is the acrylic coating. This must be done carefully, fixing with varnish. Then the works will become beautiful, regardless of what they are made of.

Blended whiskey

Blended whiskey is the drink that rules the world. This is the most popular and widespread type of whiskey. It is made by mixing two different components: malt and grain. Blended whiskey can contain up to 20 different blended malts! The main raw materials for grain varieties are corn and wheat. You can often hear that blended scotch is inferior in quality to single malt. This statement is not entirely justified: the higher the percentage of malt component in the drink, the higher the quality of the whiskey. The recipe for blended scotch was invented in the mid-19th century: at that time, this discovery was truly revolutionary in the production of whiskey.

When choosing blended whiskey as a gift, pay attention to the main classification:

Standard blend

The most affordable type of traditional blended whiskey. If you have a small amount for a gift, it is worth considering this type of blend. The most famous representatives of this type of whiskey include, first of all, the following brands:

  • Glen Clyde 3 Year Old;
  • Queen Mile.

Standard blended whiskey is a high-quality, worthy drink and a more economical gift option. A win-win option for a holiday, as a compliment or gratitude.

De Luxe Blend

This whiskey is aged for at least 12 years, has a pleasant aroma and a rich, more complex taste compared to standard whiskey blends. The most famous deluxe whiskeys:

  • Glen Clyde 12yo
  • Chivas Regal 18yo

Whiskey in this category is perfect as a gift for a hero of the day or for an official celebration (for example, the anniversary of the founding of a company, on the occasion of receiving a new position, etc.).

Premium

Premium whiskey - here the name speaks for itself. This is a drink with outstanding taste characteristics, long aging and often bottled in a single copy and/or in designer bottles specially created for a particular drink.

This is a desirable piece for collectors and experts. Such whiskeys are kept in private collections and exhibited at auctions. An expensive, exclusive gift for a special occasion.

Bourbon

The American version of blended Scotch whiskey is called bourbon. This is grain whiskey made from corn. Why corn? Actually, because it is the cheapest and most accessible raw material in the United States. In the production of bourbon, any additives or colorings are excluded. The alcohol is kept in disposable oak barrels, which are fired before use. Thanks to this technology, the drink acquires a smoky taste. Interestingly, this type of whiskey is quite popular in Russia. A bottle of elite bourbon as a gift will be appreciated by a person prone to experimentation, progressive and broad-minded. Bourbon is perfect as a birthday gift for a business partner or boss.

Irish whiskey

A whiskey gift from an Irish producer will be appreciated by a true fan of the drink. Unlike its Scottish counterpart, this whiskey has a milder taste. There are three main types of Irish whiskey:

  • Clean;
  • Single malt;
  • Grain.

Often different types of aged spirits are mixed, thus obtaining the well-known blended whiskey. Thanks to its expressive and at the same time mild taste, Irish whiskey is often present in the alcohol lists of restaurants and pubs and serves as the basis for several popular classic cocktails.

The softness of the taste of Irish whiskey makes it a favorite of women connoisseurs of strong drink; Therefore, if you need to give a strong gift to a lady, choose this one. Pay attention to West Cork Irish whiskey, the line of which is presented in full in Moscow only at the World of Whiskey.

Decoration with ribbons and beads

Apply acrylic paints (with a sponge or brush) to the prepared glass and wait until dry. Bows, flowers, etc. are made from ribbons. Beads are painted and glued. If you want to add an antique look, you should paint the entire beaded bottle a dark color and make an accent with white, silver or gold.

Another way is to wrap ribbons around the bottle and sprinkle beads on the glued areas. You can teach your child how to decorate bottles with ribbons; it’s a simple and quick way that doesn’t require much effort.

New Year's souvenir

On the eve of the New Year holidays, one of the main concerns of people is the selection of original gifts for employees, friends and loved ones.

An undoubted highlight of the festive table can be an originally designed bottle of traditional champagne, “dressed” in a Santa Claus costume.

To make the costume of the messenger of good wishes you will need:

  • red and white fabric;
  • cotton wool for beard;
  • buttons and beads;
  • paper, pen, needle, thread and scissors.

Cereals on a bottle

Are you used to storing cereals in containers, but what about storing them outside? For example, peas are glued onto hot glue using a stencil (it can be a shell, a spiral, or clear lines).

Then they tear up napkins and glue them, creating unevenness. All this is covered with acrylic paints and the process is completed with acrylic varnish. This is important, if you do not varnish, after a while the paint will fade and the grain will begin to fall off.

Gift for a friend for the New Year

Giving a decorated bottle is a good move if you don’t want to spend money on gifts. Last year you drank champagne together, and this year the bottle pleases with its beauty on the shelf. The bottle needs to be painted with acrylic paints.

The necessary parts are cut out from the napkins (or carefully torn off with your hands): Santa, Christmas tree, etc. Glue the parts cut from the napkin using PVA glue with a brush (you can add a little water if the glue is thick). The finished decoration of a champagne bottle will evoke positive feelings in a friend.

Vodka Absolut

Premium white is produced under the Swedish brand Absolut. For its production, alcohol of the highest purity is used. Water from artesian wells. The taste is softened using a unique technology, the details of which are kept secret by the manufacturer.

Absolut vodka, recognized by millions as one of the best brands of this drink in the world.

There are several varieties of Absolut Vodka:

  • Classic, without additives;
  • Vanilla (vanilla flavor);
  • Citron (lemon flavor);
  • Kurant (blackcurrant flavour);
  • Pepar (pepper);
  • Rapsbury (raspberry flavor);

Price for 0.7 l. - approximately 1000 rubles. There will still be some left over for a bottle.

Jameson/Jack Daniels Whiskey

Classic Irish whiskey with amber color and caramel-vanilla aroma. Connoisseurs call it the best in its price category. The drink tastes good both when consumed in cocktails and in its pure form.

The price for 0.7 liters of Jameson is from 1500 to 2000 rubles, depending on the store. I managed to find it even for 1000 rubles.

As an alternative to Jameson, you can purchase Jack Daniels whiskey. “American” is very popular among lovers of this drink. When hearing the word whiskey, many people think of a bottle of Jack Daniels.

When choosing between Irish Jameson and American Jack Daniels, you need to focus on the taste preferences of the person who will drink it. Here, again, it’s better to ask whether varieties originally from Ireland or America are more to your liking.

But, if such information is difficult to obtain, then we take any of the two presented. Whatever suits your taste, they are both wonderful in taste.

The price for 0.7 liters of Jack Daniels is approximately 2000 rubles.

Brandy (Cognac) Chatelle, “Napoleon”

Perhaps one of the most affordable French cognacs. Long-lasting taste and aroma with notes of fruit, oak, nuts and honey.

In “Tsarist times” this brand of cognac was served at the table of Emperor Nicholas II.

The price for 0.7 liters is approximately 1200 rubles.

Tequila Olmeca

This brand deserves the title of the most popular tequila in the world. The drink is made from the juice of the blue agave cactus, at least 7 years old.

Thanks to centuries-old cooking technology, the taste is soft and the aroma is rich.

The price for 0.7 liters is approximately 1500 rubles.

Bombey saphire gin

Made from a variety of herbs, roots, berries and spices according to a recipe from 1761. A true English gin, Bombey saphire has a rich aroma and a soft but tart taste.

The excellent taste is complemented by a stylish bottle made of blue glass, sapphire color.

There are many cocktails based on this drink. But true connoisseurs drink it in its pure form.

The price for 0.5 liters is approximately 1800 rubles. Bombey saphire gin is somewhat more expensive than previous representatives. But, a lover of this drink will appreciate such a gift even with a volume of 0.5 liters 5+.

Decor of bottles with inscriptions

The question immediately arises: what and how to make inscriptions from? The same fantasy still helps out. Cut the napkins along the entire length, 2 cm wide, using a wet towel, twist them into a spiral and put the inscription on the bottle. Other options are beads, matches, threads. Instead of a regular, boring postcard, use a bottle and “write” a congratulation on it.

After the work has been done, the decor of the bottle with the inscription “New Year” and a gadget in the form of a miniature bottle (which can be made from putty), a Santa doll or a spruce twig will really surprise you.

Best Scotch Whiskey

Scotch whiskey lovers call it by a special word - scotch. Along with Irish whiskey, Scotch whiskey is very popular and sells well all over the world. We can name 5 good Scotch whiskeys:

1. The most popular whiskey from Scotland is Johnnie Walker. The brand produces products for both the richest and poorest segments of the population - everyone can find a product to their liking and budget. This largely determines its popularity. You can buy it at Royal Mile Whiskies at 3 Bloomsbury St WC1B 3QE at prices starting from 1,800 rubles per 0.7 liter.

2. White Horse is called special because it includes two types of whiskey in special ratios - malt (0.3) and grain (0.7). There are other proportions in the manufacturer’s collection, but this particular type is classic, as it has a pleasant, subtle taste. It is sold at Soho Whiskey Club at a price of 1,000 rubles per 0.7 liter.

3. Glenfiddich (Glenfiddich) is the most famous malt scotch produced at the same distillery. The date of its release is known - Christmas night in 1887. You can buy it at World of Whiskies Duty Free stores at airports. The cheapest version of a 0.5 liter bottle costs 2,500 rubles.

4. Chivas Regal is considered an exemplary whiskey, since it was created specifically for delicacies - its producers were looking for alcohol that would ideally complement elite products. Unable to find a suitable whiskey, they decided to create their own drink - and they did it brilliantly. You can buy it, for example, at The Whiskey Exchange at 3-7 Davies St London W1K 3LD. Prices for a standard bottle start at 3,000 rubles.

5. Cardhu is a single malt whiskey popular due to its subtle and smooth taste. That is why this product is called women's. It is noteworthy that the product gained such fame after the distillery came into the possession of a woman, the wife of the founder of the production. You can buy it in almost any specialty liquor store in London. A 0.7 liter bottle costs about five thousand rubles.

Craigellachie is a light straw scotch with a smoky flavor. The whiskey has a soft sweetish flavor - a little fruity, with notes of honey and cinnamon. Leaves a long aftertaste. 0.7 liters of 23-year-old cognac costs from 24 thousand rubles, 13-year-old cognac costs from 5,000 rubles.

Caol Ila malt comes from the island of Islay. This Scotch is made from barley malt dried in peat smoke. This whiskey is distinguished by a bright aroma of iodine, almonds, citrus fruits and olives. The drink leaves a sour aftertaste and goes well with smoked products. For a 25-year-old whiskey you will have to pay 25 thousand, and for the simplest and most inexpensive whiskey - about 2000 rubles (0.7 l).
